Hi. The chap in the shop told me my Mt125 needs a new chain because it's slack and at the end of its adjustment. Annoying as the bike has only done 4k miles but anyway. I believed him because he told me to fit it myself and not pay him to do it. I have no tools at all. What do I need? I'm thinking: A paddock stand or lift (bike has no centre stand). Which is better? Sprocket set thing Torque wrench Chain with riveted master link (not pish click, I gather) Chain break tool New sprockets (front too?) Latex gloves Advice on how much to spend on these things? Mid range? Cheers

Whilst doing a wheelie though, right? Lifting the bars up means you can get through narrower gaps. I know you're new to riding so I'll politely remind you: Highway code rule 52.7 "Lifting the front wheel whilst accelerating, sometimes known as 'wheelies' is only acceptable if an attractive member of the opposite (or same, depending on your inclination) sex is on the other side of the road and you are looking to impress them."

Well thank you very much tango. I went to work as normal because it's Thursday and I don't want to waste 2 days holiday, and the missus treated me to a nice seafood dinner out Tapatalk does that sometimes.

Thanks. What offences could one commit whilst doing what I do? Let's assume I don't crash or speed or cause any trouble - is there an undertaking law I'm breaking? Or can biked generally be on their merry way riding white lines when they please as long as they're careful and attentive? I stay in the left lane when I'm happy with my speed, or overtake normally - I don't ride on the lines for the fun of it, just when over/undertaking traffic on both sides.

Is there a tl;dr? I just gun it down between lanes of traffic on the white lines regardless of the speed they're going (as long as it's less than 70 cos my bike doesn't go any faster...) Is that okay? If I get taken out it's probably my fault, I get that.

I very nearly bought a pair of g12s today. But they're not armoured, are they? The xr12s are I believe but they're £150. Which do you have? Do they work at -2 at 70mph for 30 minutes?! They get good reviews on Amazon but... Ta

Would it be fair to say that no gloves keep your digits warm after a half hour ride in 0 degrees?

Silk glove liners did absolutely nothing for me this winter - still freezing. I sent them back in fact.
