Bike specifications are available from most manufacturer's - Just pick the biggest.
  3. Still Life - Iron Maiden
  4. Got there late - the group was already leaving so just joined in. Pulled off at Clacketts & went home via the A10. Good day out (although there did not seem to be as many folk as last time). NB. Shredded another £1.50p red rain-smock.

  6. Wow! You must have really upset someone powerful to get all this luck (bad). Try sacrificing a chicken (or just eat a KFC meal).
  7. If you are sure that the front wheel is aligned with the handlebars straight, then it can only be wheel alignment which is causing the issue (I'm assuming the bike has not been involved in a nmajor collision which has beent the frame). If the front wheel is not aligned correctly with the handlebars, then it will be a twist in the front forks - To cure this, just loosen off the lower yolk and give it a 'shake', it should straighten up easily - when aligned, just re-tighten to the recomended torque settings.
  8. If the bolt 'just slips in' it will be a stripped thread not a crossed thread. Helicoil will sort easily.
  9. I got a 20% discount on a gazebo - Must be a branch thing!
  10. Dying Inside - Gary Barlow
  11. Seems a hell of a pain to get to the clutch plates. Best would be to strip down as per the video and rebuild checking all is as it should be. it will probably just be something not quite aligned.
  12. Just play load music (metallica!) while you work - It won't stop you swearing but... At least the neighbours won't hear you!.
  13. Two little boys had.... NO! Don't go there! Time - Pink Floyd

    not charging

With engine running (tickover) check voltage output from the rectifier / regulator. If this is not the same as you get at the battery, then there is a problem (high restance) in the cableing (could be a bad / corroded connector). Check voltages at each connection to see where the issue is. It still could be the stator even though it is giving a reasonable vAC output - Was this checked on load (i.e. all connected up with the battery in place? If yes, then rectifier / regulator or battery or cable integretry is suspect. No easy answers but should be easy to find the issue. You could couple in an alternative (good) battery as a temporary check - It does not have to be able to fit the frame housing, just extend the cableing to the bench.
  17. Although not 'JAP', I am rebuilding (NOT restoring) a 1974 MZ TS250. Got as far as booking an MOT recently, but on the day before, the headlight failed. I now have a couple of problems - 1. The 'flasher' button is shorting (so headlamp on full) and the chain seams to have seized on a pair of links ('clunks' when the wheel is turned). Dark nights and wet weekends are slowing me down but, apart from slow leaks in both innertubes, that is all that is left to do (I hope).
  18. They are usually too long - are you sure they are mounted in the air filter unit correctly?

  22. Mind you - getting that Caber to land in a straight line is not easy!
  23. Can I just type a reply or do I need to include a quote? Just asking!
  24. Double en-suite with full breakfast - £65 per night (and 'Dog Friendly' - So I'll be OK!). As T'missus doesn't drink (much) - I have a 'designated driver'. Currently planning to bring the bike as well so I'll be OK for the ride out and car for the drinking!
