  1. what amazes me, is that at some time we should go back to where we were, but i doubt that companies will revert back, and just take advantage of the forced chances that have happened due to a recession.. easy excuse as to not increase pay, but actually decrease, and doubtful anything has been drawn up to imply a return to the norm, in say 6 or 12 months... so a win for them a lose for the rest of us.. F**K It - You did not say F**K it WF !!!
  2. F**K It! - Run some pipes around the Chinese Chimney into your flat, fit a radiator to them and dry your clothes on it for free!
  3. Looking OK for me and Neil (and possibly my lad - if he remembers!) Sent you (Willo) a PM re: B&B's - Need to find somewhere close to stay Fri / Sat night.
  4. Possible? Will not be sure until nearer the date.

    Help Needed

Check the clutch cable - it should be under slight tension when lever is at rest. If this seems OK. Disconnect cable from the clutch input and drop into gear (engine off!) and try and push the bike - If engine turns over problem lies with the cable (tension / stuck). If engine does not turn, remove clutch drive cover and check compressor plate is fullly out (could be stuck in {compressed}). If OK, you have a serious problem in the gearbox. If stuck in, then need to dismantle, clean (fix/replace plates, springs, cups if damaged) and re-assemble. fairly easy job. All the best, GOG
  6. If it happens all the time (even when 'cold') and in all gear changes then the most lickly cause is a damaged or very worn gear selector. If you are 'happy' with stripping down a gearbox, you could take it apart and have a look - There should be very little play between the selector and layshaft. excessive wear should be easy to spot (scored metal and odd shaped) and a breakage even easier! If it only occurs when hot - change the gear oil for that recommended for warmer climates in the manual. Good Luck.
  7. Already posted that I can't make this one (how is it that every time a good run comes up i am snookered?) Enjoy all. GOG
  8. Can't make the 28th - I'm in work that day (V. important) Hope you all have a great time. GOG
  9. Try adding at least 3 more cylinders - Speed should increase.
  10. They don't fill up because as the water goes in the top, it leaks out of the bottom just as fast. Have a closer look at one next time it rains.
  11. Too far for me for a mid-week evening run, sorry!
  12. Yep! Trouble with the Sunday runs (bikes that is!), is that i don't get finished ringing the Church bells until 11:00am and, by the time I am kitted up and ready to leave, it is at least a quarter passed. Does not matter how quick I am, cannot get to Webbs in 15 minutes!
  13. If the avatar is your bike, then I think I actually parked next to it. Must also have walked right past you into the Cafe! Next time then. GOG
  14. Sorry, 1. Helping out at the village fete. 2. Got visitors over the weekend.
  15. Got there at about 5 mins past MoJo. parked near the Cafe (with the other Suzi's) and sat at the bench in the NE corner nearest the bikes. Did not spot any forum stickers so could not find you. - I was NOT going to stand there shouting 'Has anyone seen my Mojo?' Maybe next time. GOG
  16. Got to Webbs 5-10 minutes after you left so... Turned left and bimbled across to Rutland Water for the 12:00 meet. Lots of bikes but did not spot any forum stickers so had a drink & sausage roll and came back via S Luffenham, Corby, Thrapston. Some good roads! GOG
  17. It could even have been sold by a mother who had lost her son in a train crash - Son had bought said helt for £450 the week before and never used it - Mother has not got a clue on value only knows that no-one really is interested in buying a 2nd-hand helmet. 1. Get it checked. 2. No-good - throw it (you only lost £5). 3. Fit for purpose - enjoy your bargain!
  18. Great Ride Out Roy - Thanks. Think we may have upset Jo by discussing a certain TMBF member's assets whilst in the pub. Could not resist a quick 'blast' approaching Arlesey rail bridge (sorry if I startled you Roy). Anyway - It kinda made up for not being available for the Skeggy run - maybe next time?
  19. Possible that I may be able to persuade t'missus to let me ride up to her sister's on t'bike. (we are scheduled to visit her on the Saturday/Sunday). Will stay o/night at Sis-in-Law's (Thorne, near Donny) so could look at dropping in for a visit as I will be in the area? Is this OK? GOG
  20. Good food (a bit more 'posh' than we are used to), good service, nice decor. Thought you had been for a meal there? Oops - Just reliased this is totally Sorry!
  21. Provide nothing changes, I will be at your place before the 6:15 deadline. Don't wait if I don't turn up - May be delayed and if so, will see you at the Cricketers. GOG
  22. Can't make this weekend . Wifey has booked visitors and lunch at the Racehorse. A52 is a good road (especially the last section). Enjoy. Might have a blast out on friday pm. GOG
