  1. I assume therefore that the petition failed! Parking available up by the hotel (road above Fishponds) - Be polite though and call into reception to OK it!
  2. What happened to saying F***K it? F**k It!
  3. Roy asked for clues: Not the Fawlty Type! Very close to the A1. Cambridgeshire. Nuff said.
  4. Can't upload from work! Just Google 'V-Strom' and 'handguards' or 'brush guards'. Or, just pop round and take a look see! Thought you said you had something similar?
  5. Just fitted a set of V-Strom Hand Guards to my GSF 1250SA Bandit. Great protection. Look good. But... they 'hit' the fairing when on full lock. There is a solution - swing the bars up & back slightly and the guards just clear. This affects the riding position so it will very much be down to individual preference.
  6. Ignition off - Select 3rd gear - Push bike and ensure engine turns over. Select Neutral - Ignition on - pull clutch - Try Starter. If still no joy (and battery volts drop to 1v at Battery) can only be a couple of things which are easily checked: 1. Ignition On, Full beam and Stop Light on - Battery voltage drops below about 11.5v - Duff battery. 2. Disconnect feed to starter motor - Ignition on - press start - voltage drops at battery - Short in wiring harness. 3. Ceased starter motor - check by removal and try turning. 4. Ceased gearbox (should be obvious from start of this post). Good luck GOG
  7. Air Conditioning and the click of the keyboard.
  8. That is going to take some sorting.... Head gasket definitely blown (some time ago too). Need to clean off all deposits, replace liners, test level (and possibly skim), fit new gaskets, fit head, test for compression on all cylinders BEFORE running. I personally would throw and replace.
  9. Also check the fuel filter.
  10. Bin fuel. Clean Carb. Fix Choke Cable. Remove, clean, replace plugs. Charge battery. Add new fuel. Start!
  11. Just feel like saying F**K IT so F**K IT!
  12. It's just the extra weight required to stop you out accelerating a Blackbird!!1
  13. Not me - Too busy! Was up there this last weekend though. Illuminations = same old, same old. Fireworks should be good though. Enjoy!

  17. Not too sure I needed to put my name onto this thread as I have already signed up for overnight both Friday and Saturday in a tent geneously provided by Pen. Of course I will join in (if I get to drink enough first) as will Neil and Ian (in case they don't volunteer themselves). Not too happy with the thought of wellying anyone's wanger though
  18. SK96 (or whatever his handle is) - My son Ian will be coming too (definitely/maybe). See you friday pm. GOG
  19. Earth the relay by bolting to the frame (can be 'better' by introducing a cable from the mounitng bolt to the battery earth (on the frame)). Other cable goes to (all) indicators. Then from each indicator pair (left / right) to indicator switch selection (left / right). Then from indicator switch common to ignition power output (switched - same as for the horn). Make sure you have the LED indicator relay polarity correct! Happy wiring. PS. I except NO liability for you incinerating your bike by following these instructions!
