  1. That stinks Fro. As a minimum they should cover the costs. Lots of companies have clauses that make it hard for employees to patent something that benefits the companies products, but not to reward innovation is not on.
  2. Congrats on the pass Mikedz and as Joeman said if thinks don't go to plan and you do not panic if goes in you favour. So well done ( bet you were glad the island of doom wasn't on the route though).
  3. No probs. let us know how it goes.
  4. This any good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_nkw ... 7675.m4096
  5. Don't you start!! Annoyingly as my rear wheel was off to fix a puncture I have to adjust teh chain AGAIN!! arghghghghghgh You meant they did not adjust it on refitting after the repair.
  6. Right, the sender is a coil of wire on a former and this is connected to one of the wires. The floaty bit is a wiper that rub up and down the coil(quick nurse the screens). The other wire is connected to this wiper. So as the wiper moves up and down the resistance changes. It is possible that some muck or something has got Into that area and sat the wiper moves it is touching different areas. Hope that makes spence, it does in my head. So it may be possible to clean the wiped area of the coil and hopefully restore the operation. If if don't you haven't lost anything by trying. Unless any one else has ideas.
  7. Infinity motorcycles at hanger lane, think they have other branches in London, never been in but pass it visiting daughter. Bought stuff from them but at shows. Otherwise trust to google.
  8. Just say you need to pop out for a couple of hours and accidentally end up at he bike show.
  9. I think there are 3 wires on the back of the gauge, brown + , Black/ yell - , and yellow/white to the float. Through the float to the (-) Link yel/white gauge read full. Disconnect link gauge read empty. Do not link wires for long. HTH. If you do not have a manual there are several on internet to down load.
  10. It sounds like the float isn't floating. Can you take the float unit out again, I know you have 10ltr of fuel int there. Then if possible lower the float unit into some liquid and check that it does actually float and move the sender arm. Otherwise is there anything in the tank that is stopping the float from moving, annoying bit of pet seal?
  11. Have a look at this thread. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59327#p918373
  12. If you have a multimeter, set it to resistance and disconnect the float switch. Then measure the resistance of the float switch, move the float and check the resistance changes. This will tell if the float assembly is working. If ok then check the rest of the wiring back to the gauge. HTH.

  16. Also to add is thank you for the link No probs. used to use these when I had the Kwak.
  17. Is it coolant or oil? If oil is it part number 92066 on the attached parts scheme. http://www.kawasakioriginalparts.com/ka ... 1999&ca=GB This from Cradley Kawasaki HTH
  18. But you can't get those wrong. Nobody knows which way is the correct way.
  19. Got no chance of tucking the textile over trousers in my boots.
  20. Another mapping app is MAPS.ME this is a complete downloaded set of maps. Does route planning but does not need to link to the cloud. So no down load fees. But it does not do real time traffic inf. but there again my Zumo doesn't do that on the bike, only in the car.
  21. That brings back memories, not worked with spread sheets to that extent in 10 years. Now just gave to look at them not create them. Conditional formatting great for showing when items go out of spec or fail.
