3. Could do 22nd but not 21st. Either place is ok but hungry Hoggs possibly more appropriate

5. Not been there for about 5 years, since the Kwaks owners club folded. The GPX looking good. Have to see if I'm free.
6. I think Mawsley been listening to this (and watching the film) ">
7. Already fitted JRH. Not a problem with that. Just want to make sure that the plate will join the two before I shell out the £35 for it. I am fairly certain it will but, just want to be sure. The plate should fit the rack and the box will fit as it is monolock and the plate will fit the arms. See below. This Givi M5M Monolock Plate, is designed to fit on to various motorcycle specific racks including Givi Monorack FZ Kits so that a Givi Top Box can be fitted. The Givi M5M Monolock mounting Plate is made from Nylon and supersedes the traditional Monolock plate which had an adjustable joint. This new system offers improved sturdiness whist remaining simple and easy to build or disassemble. This plate includes various nuts, bolts, washers and blanking caps.
8. Should be OK. But you can go on the Givi web site and down load the fitting instructions if you're in any doubt.
9. If the piston is just slightly slanted you should be able to twist it level by hand and using brake fluid to lub push it gently back in, again by hand. If you must use a G clamp be very gentle and keep checking to make sure it goes in straight. Hopefully the seals are not damaged. Once back in Bleed the system and check for full operation and the lever does not go all the way back to the bars before going out on the road. I had to do this regularly on the GPS and slow and easy was the key to pushing the pistons back in.
10. The island at Bicester has just been changed to this. Must be an Oxford thing.
11. The plonker I was following who decided to stop to let people cross he road. He stopped at a pelican which was at green for traffic red for pedestrians. Took me by supplies but the brakes do work, as does the horn. The pedestrians waved him on. So off we go and less than 10 meters come to a small traffic island where he stops again to Wait for non existent traffic. Quick toot and off he goes again. Few meters on and there is another island. This time he sails straight on. Unfortunately ther is a car on the island whose brakes worked incredibly well. I decided to take a different route home

13. Goes to the guy in the White estate that decided to pull out on me and go across me while I'm going round an island on the A38 only for his exit to have to stop for a red light, my exit was clear. Heavy on the brakes and horn Also on the ride into the Peak District saw some realy dodgy overtakes from some bikes
14. Little run out to Bookstore brier low bar and cafe Followed by Carsington water
15. Even in the height of summer my GPX always need some choke to start in the morning. If it needs it do it.
16. Still trying to work out where the shark tooth will be fitted.
17. The daft female joining the A46 steering with knees while using a spoon to eat God knows what from a bowl
18. With the relay you use a circuit that is only live with the ignition on to energise the relay. People usually use the rear light feed. So the charger is only on when the lights are on.
19. Can't see why it should stop supplying volts as the revs increase. If you have a multi meter, check the 12volt supply to the socket is always on. Also check the earth where you have connected it to the frame, it would be better connecting to the negative on the battery. Check the USB is not vibrating loose.
20. I think a lot will depend on how the rack is designed with regards to the fixing points. As I said on the GPX the fixings were in my opinion too close and did not distribut the loading forces enough. If you are handy with welding etc you could have a go at fabricating some supports. For the GPX I bought a Givi Wing rack of EBay and some random fixing kit for about £15 then fabricated fixings from the rear sub frame and rear pegs. Attached shows the finished result but not too clear on details.
21. + the supports on your rack look more substantial than for the GPX The lower fixing points were the ones that went as the rack tried to pivot about the upper fixings so everything was in a line. Hopefully the fixing points for markhibberd5 rack will be more spaced out and braced.
22. Givi Shad etc boxes matched to base plate. then base plates can be i 2 styles. 1 fix to there own frame system 2 generic fit for tubular racks etc. This is just the GIVI base for example to fit tubular racks. givi box required. http://www.brandedbiker.co.uk/Givi-Luggage/Givi-E251-Universal-Monokey-Plate-9550/ Universal from Amazon for example https://www.amazon.co.uk/Homcom-Motorcycle-Scooter-Luggage-Universal/dp/B0055RFRGA/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1503483185&sr=8-14&keywords=motorbike+top+box Bend you own brackets.
23. Had a Renntec rack on my GPX750 with a top box fitted. the rack was fitted to the hand grip points 4 in all and the rack failed on the lower points due to the flexing of the rack with the top box as it sat further back than the edge of the rack. Did not bother me as i just added "weld fixing point" to the general service schedule of the bike. If the fixing points for yours are firm and well spaced may not be too much of a problem. (eventually i fitted a wing rack bought cheap off ebay by making up my own support brackets)
24. That's not a bad idea. I'm more upset about losing that Even the really dirty one who made superb sandwiches. I didn't know allen keys could make sandwiches.
