  6. stuff a solid bar up the silencer inlet and roll it round the pipe with force and "swage" the pipe out. this should / may enlarge the entrance enough to force the down pipes in. if you can get it big enough cut a slot in the silences pipe and us an exhaust clamp and exhaust putty to finish off. Done this loads of times years ago on car exhausts, but they were generally mild steel not stainless.
  7. Sorry to hear that Oasis, My condolences to you and your family .
  8. Bike satnavs are not going to be cheap. Garmin and tom tom being the favourites. I'm old school so i have a camera to take piccies, a phone to make calls and text and a satnav to well satnav. The advantage of the satnav is waterproof, comes with the bike, and car, holders. the screen is glove friendly so you can make changes on the fly. disadvantage cost the advantage of phones cheap apps. disadvantages, need to buy waterproof case, unless it is one of the newer waterproof phones. Some phone touch screen do not work with gloves. Also if you use google maps live beware of data downloads, use a dedicated off line app. Why not go the phone route and if it does not give you what you want then save for a Satnav.

    Bike shows

Went to this for the 1st time last yr really enjoyed it will certainly be going again, reminded me of the old northwich thunder sprint just not on my door step so no but a cracking day out, maybe a good location for a forum meet as well But not this year as it clashes with the forum rally. I went last year and it was a good day out.
  10. That's not good at all. Tell them they can judge your riding when they have a full bike license. Till then be positive or say nothing. Hope it works out for you
  11. £400 - 500 with No NCD. That's one of the advantages of living in the Lake District. Then you have the beautiful roads.
  12. From this bit "would I be prepared to consider being put forward or considered as the new chairman of the group." Being put forward, does this mean the group has a vote on the new chair? If it is a vote and you have the time and passion for the position then go for it and it will then be the decision of the members based on the resume that each candidate puts forward. If it is a straight invitation then reading between the lines in your post I get the feeling it is something you are not fully comfortable in. If that is the case it may be best to say thanks but no thanks but keep in touch with the occasional guest speaker. Just my pennies worth.
  13. Looks like a good ride Deso.

  21. I also have a good set of Allen keys and ratchet spanners.
  22. +1 for dedicated SatNav. However the next best is yo use a tank bag with a map pocket. Then either have a map of the route or a list of the roads and turns in order. HTH And welcome to the forum
