  3. I don't have a van. Which means I'd have to hire one. Which with fuel is probably going to be 100 quid. Then i imagine that einsurance is probably going to be another 100 minimum because insurance is a rip off. Then tests are 90.5 At this rate my "rip off training" is only costing 200 quid and I'm going to get actual help passing these tests (first time 2 minors on each)
  4. they're metal, go fast enough you'll make a gap to fit through
  5. Play nicely children.
  6. Yup as you said for sump bolt. As I recall they're split washers and should be replaced every time (but most people don't )
  7. You can learn what is involved, there's no substitution for real practise on a real bike. Kinda like saying I watched a video on brain surgery so I'm applying for my doctorate right now.
  8. my signature has evolved into a squiggle as above it's supposed to be something you can replicate easily but not something I could copy really easily. Hoggmother just prints her name which is why it's much easier to forge than Hoggfathers
  9. What you do not understand? Westbeef. Torque wrenches
  10. Wales has some nice roads though, go get some challenge tags instead
  11. ooh the JW ones have free tea and coffee..... don't really want to use my bike the first time I try it though
  12. ooh the one I suggested? they are surprisingly good!
  13. You don’t need to be. Anybody can go on these schools. I'm poor
  14. the other thing is don't push too much too soon. take gradual steps, work on your line first then build up the speed gradually .
  15. short answer no. unless you have access to private land.
  16. I'm always going to recommend these guys https://www.spengineering.co.uk/slip-on-exhausts.html
  17. Every single one of us will have those "why the hell did I do that " moments, its how we learn, sounds like you've analysed your errors and won't be making that one again
  18. I agree! Wow it's like a different rider! More confident, I feel you're thinking more about your position on bends and corners too. (Also because of the style and town environment, watching these makes me feel like I'm doing a Hazard Awareness Test I keep trying to click )
  19. I remembered this song earlier (I unashamedly love Michael Bolton - he has now done an ad with Audibles titled " I said I read you but I lied") https://youtu.be/GI6CfKcMhjY
  20. are you looking at the curb? Target fixation is the biggest cause of "oh a curb.. don't want to hit that.. oh crap I'm going straight towards it... oh dear" Look round the corner to where you want to go, and I mean round it not at that curb! Also head up, looking down will also spoon up your line.
  21. top stuff. real learning starts here don't forget to keep doing your lifesavers
