    this is so true!! I wanted some normal boots... found some I loved... but they were 70 quid. begrudgingly bought them *grumble grumble* Saw some bike boots... 140 quid? bargain!

    well done @[mention]mas101[/mention] Yup real learning starts here, take it nice and easy remember your lifesavers and there's no shame in pulling over for a rest whenever you need to. Being "bike fit" is definitely a thing and it will take you a while to build up your mental and physical strength for longer rides but it's really important to try stop before you're completely pooped!

    I have to say my car Tom Tom that is old had the great feature of zooming in automatically at junctions to make it really clear.... if copilot does this I haven't found out how to make it do if so I either have it too far out to give me plenty of notice on the turn but at small junctions with multiple tiny roads if gets tricky or super zoomed in so I have to wait till I'm quite close to the junction to see how it plays out maybe I should try mount it portrait

    it's so much easier to say than do... but try and relax being tense will make the manoeuvres harder and jerkier keep us updated

    generally it's speed limit + 10% + 2mph so 30 would be 35 60 would be 68 but if you see a camera probably best to do the limit and not chance it

    top stuff [mention]madcow87[/mention] re the junction... it's a tough one I kinda find you always want to at least go straight whilst you get going, then head up gradual steady increase of speed whilst turning. but I've passed my test so can hang a foot off for balance

    Was probably me being an impatient nob and trying to squeeze inbetween a van and a truck. Misjudged it and had my mirror knocked as a result. Surprisingly no damage so moved it back, pretended it didn't happen and reminded myself it's better to be late than squished. .....or I need to buy folding mirrors
