ferry from Portsmouth to Santander .. Salamanca .. Covilha ..Vila Real .. Ponferrada .. Oveido .. Potes .. cheap enough but very hot 41deg. and dry .. with weak smell of fire .. picos was the highlight of holiday... .. empty type of place away from tourist type places .. better catered for domestic visitors.. place comes alive after 10pm.. kids running round .. basket ball courts full of juveniles..
