  1. Yes totally standard, I haven’t changed anything with the chain since I got the bike a few months ago. The chain hasn’t needed it until now.
  2. It seems ok not too tight from what I can tell by checking alone. It sounds like it’s hitting the plastic chain guides, rather than the swing arm itself if that’s anything of not. I actually think it could be the top part rattling as it’s only when I’m off the power/neutral clutch in.
  3. Alreeeet My chain (I think, open to other suggestions) is rattling on the underside of my swing arm and the tension is correct. Only started after being sat for a little while (2-3 weeks), the chain was a bit loose - 10mm out and now I’ve brought it back to the middle of the spec. It seems like only does it it when I’m braking with the front or on a bumpy surface. I can push the chain up to touch the swing arm near the front sprocket. Also the top of the chain seems to run very close plastic on top of the swing arm. Chain seems ok and still near the new part of the indicator so not too worn. Could it be something else or should I tighten it a little more?
  4. No, all you need to do that is the CBT which you can do on a moper then ride a 125cc geared motorbike if you wish. The A1 is a test on the 125 bike which lets you carry a pillion and remove L-Plates.
  5. Simples put it on the plug thread and screw it back in and let it set for the required time . Worked a treat and I had a big crack on mine - oil was pissing out.
  6. Not a proper one they were all costly.
  7. It looks like what came out of mine when stripped a few threads. If it’s not leaking now I’d leave it and keep an eye out. If it starts leaking apply the RTV silicone and it should hold for a bit longer.
  8. You have had the same issue?? I cracked my sump and stripped the thread a little. Check for cracks and put the plug back in with some RTV silicone and you should be ok.
  9. Looks too thin too be a spring washer imo.
  10. You’ve not got my old bike have you?
  11. No baffle in mine and it’s a big bore and it’s fine

  13. Doesn’t matter what witnesses think as long as they give an honest statement. The legal boffins decide who is to blame.
  14. Is the piece inside the spring the filter? Will it go together like this; ">
  15. Picture please? I assume this is the cap where you will re-fill the oil, does the spring have something to sit on if you put that in first or is it just going to drop straight into your engine?
  16. To be honest. All I recommend as a northerner still on the north Is don't go. It is believe it or not getting worse. This was my first thought, however your daughter will probably love it. As a kid you see the lights, arcades, candy floss & donut stands and the pleasure beach and there's something magic about it. When you're an adult and go back you see what a shit-hole it really is and the type of people who are out and about there. I think kids see past that and it's probably always been the same.
  17. Over leathers, under textiles for me.
  18. All the best for a speedy recovery mate
  19. Hi mate also try dragging the rear brake and slipping the clutch it makes the bike much more stable
  20. Try doing a U-turn straight from a stand still without rolling forwards first and let us know how that goes . If you’re putting your foot down you’re not in control of the bike. Mod 1 is mostly a load of BS but it’s designed to show you can control a bike and things like a figure of 8, slaloms and u-turns are all good ways of showing how well you can control a bike.
  21. What does this bit mean then? It's only a ban for 80 years if they don't try take an extended test? Or is that what they can apply to do after half the time.
  22. As Tango says the A1 licence is pretty useless. You can ride 99% of 125s on a CBT, KTM duke included.
  23. IF you're both setting off at the same time then you had plenty of time to get well out of the way if he's a few bays behind you . They can test you as many times as they like on a certain area, if he did it 6 times it suggests that it's an area he was taking a close look at. Maybe on the first few you made a couple of mistakes and he wanted to make sure you were safe.
  24. If the road surface is crap then don't even bother trying to go quicker, just take it easy and get there safely. I wouldn't say that's a lack of confidence, that's being sensible.
  25. I wouldn't be able to make either day, shame but ill see you all next year for the opener .
