1. Honestly I have no idea, I'll find out when I get into it. I have a workshop manual for it which seems better than some modern ones . I imagine itll be fairly slow progress but should be good fun
2. I'll be fully rebuilding it, new everything if needed and of course it needs an MOT. No I had a look and there's a website in europe which seems to have everything you'd ever need for one, and at a reasonable price too. They're a bit worried about brexit it says on their website but I'm sure May might sort me out and get me a trade deal sorted with them. https://www.jawashop.com/by-type_k11/jawa_k17/jawa-50-babetta_k19/jawa-50-type-210-babetta_k20/
3. It's probably less dangerous now, than it will be when I'm finished with it.
4. £50 on the last check, with 0 no claims. A good way to build a second set of NCB too
5. Well I got speaking to some old 2T moped enthusiast and one thing led on another and for the sweet sum of 85 quid I'm now the owner of this . I'll get a project thread going but be prepared for it to be slow and have many steps backwards rather than forwards. Might come to a rally on it
6. I had a look, I need to know the registration no for that. It's all a bit of a headache . After a bit more research it seems possible. Needs an MOT against the vin and insurance and an inspection from the DVLA.
7. I've looked, applying for a registration has everything except this situation. It's not old enough to have never been registered and the others dont apply.
8. What's the process of applying like? Just phone up the DVLA and see if they'll give me a reg?
9. I've been noseying some 80s bikes, I've found one which has no registration plate and no V5. I'm quite certain it's not been stolen. Is it possible to get such a bike back on the road?
10. It defense, there's a game "Car Mechanic Simulator" and it's good fun buying a beat up old car and restoring it.
11. Nothing prepares you for 20 year old bolts that haven't been out since they went in.
12. I've done exactly this, except I was trying to tighten it and went too far. High temp RTV silicone on the threads and it'll seal no problem My temp fix became permanent https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealpro-ProSeal-80726-Temperature-Silicone/dp/B000FW7VNW/ref=asc_df_B000FW7VNW/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310513207083&hvpos=1o6&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14618368658436732785&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046623&hvtargid=pla-421610480130&psc=1&th=1&psc=1 It sealed this right up for me;
13. No problem, if you need any more info I can get it up for you
14. https://www.motorsport.com/motoe/news/jerez-fire-bikes-destroyed/4352249/ That's not good.
15. That's impressive, do you know what it was making pre turbo? I guess you will have to give it me if you've got no use for it now
16. Oh, erm... yeah. Pretty much done. It goes vooooom-tish and all that and it's been dynoed at ~170 bhp. I've still got work to do on the clocks and bodywork and I've got another turbo I want to try. I'll bung up the dyno and some pics when I get a mo. Thank you
17. I hope this has what you need
18. I have a Haynes for this I'll get you the specs just remind me. I'm likely to forget
19. Sounds excellent and also definitely not the day for it. It's been gusty and snowy/sleet all day round here. I'm impressed you all made it! Sorry cant help with the grammar, not my strong point . I may try come along to the next meet weather permitting
20. If its pitted it's not going to seal, surely? Clean up the faces so it doesn't wreck the seals but its gonna leave little crevices for fluid to seap through.
21. Well if he's denying it, he isn't going to admit it is he . However I do agree he's being a bit vague. Time will tell.
22. Norton replied on facebook, they just filed some documents late and they're in no trouble.
23. No I've not seen on their website, that news article is all I was shown. I imagine it'll take a bit to get that side set up if approval was only granted yesterday. MCN reporting it too: https://www.motorcyclenews.com/sport/tt-road-races/2019/march/olivers-mount-2019/ NeilM I'll be doing my best to be there, with either a full troop at my eldest at least
