Good stuff that
I play football myself, I have no cool stuff to share with that though. Except maybe a top goalscorer trophy from when I was 15

Examiner sounds like a jobsworth! My instructor said they're allowed to tell you to slow down but not to speed up so it's better to be a little quick rather than slow! He could have asked you to tone it down! The
As I said above they are looking to see if you notice the speed changes and stick to them. 24 in a 20 is enough to get points if the police catch you.
I understand that but he could have just said watch your speed and given him a minor. Most people do 30 in a 20 anyway.

I was going to suggest meeting up at Rivey pike today mate. Can you not make a false beefy out of pillows, lollipop sticks and condoms?
The condoms would give me away
Ill PM you

I can vision the disasters now , Im waiting for pay day for the new can so that is 2 weeks plus a few days delivery

Cheers! The fella who sold it said it can be a bit jerky whilst it's idling a little higher on the choke so to wait for it to come down.
And nope baffle is in, it appears to be a permanent fixture as I was going to take it out .
May just need a Starter valve Sync, do you need the manual to peruse Beefy
Yes please
Ill try it out later and see how it goes, I cant wait until tomorrow to ride it

Nice bike Beefy ,is it the carbed or injected one
Injection .
I did want to ask, am I going to have problems if I ride it whilst it's on auto choke? As I don't fancy sitting warming it up pissing all the neighbours off. Its loud without a new can right now .
-
Right, so what mods are you planning to make??
Tailtidy, led indicators, single seat, remove rear pegs, new levers. Thats the first things I would do, then new exhaust when finances allow.
New can first, ill take the big hit then levers as these feel huge!

I know Joeman, I felt like I could go round bends quicker on my 125 on the way home .
Ill get used to it soon enough, I am dying to get on it tomorrow.

Ive moaned at the missus half the day about getting a bike. Then spent the other half doing so, she has given me firm instructions that tomorrow os a family day
Apparently it's a go pro mount, I wont be removing it as I'll probably cause some damage!
-
Very smart
No prizes for guessing what youre doing tomorrow
Taking the family out as I spent all day moaning about getting it, then getting it

Here she is, I'm buzzing with it
30k miles, full service history and very clean no marks at all. Cost me 2150 and I think it's cheap at that!

Haha ill make a new thread you wont think its that special (is to me though!)

No extra cost thankfully as I took what they would call a "Guaranteed Pass" option for a extra £20.
I'm happy to be on the bike for longer but eager to get on the road
Don't worry then mate, its a pain now but that extra time will be really useful. Any extra training is good

Sorry neil, I was on the way to pick my new one up when you posted this! Thanks though

Sterling effort from myself for the season then

Overfilling the fuel? Didn't think there was such a thing . Apart from having it pouring over the tank of course.

^ Same as above happened on a smaller scale to me, an actual store on eBay was selling Haynes manuals advertised as brand new. I bought one and paid a couple of quid more than the used ones as you would expect. When it arrived the corners of the manual were curved over and then pages had black finger marks all over them. It was only a couple of quid more, but the sheer cheek of it pee'd me right off. I ended up getting some free chain lube out of it .

The recent one of selling my bike;
Starts with a fella bidding a stupidly low amount - I reject telling him far too low.
3 days later I get a message "I know it's low but I will pay it". I tell him no chance and he tries to link me to other bikes 200 miles away cheaper than mine - I politely tell him I don't care.
2 days before the auction ends he comes to me trying to get my best price. He even used the fact that he preferred the bike in black which is why I should go cheaper . I give him my best price which is very good and he still wants 50 quid off but I refuse, and he's not the politest fella "it's just 50 knock it off" no please or any other manners. He then asks a load more questions, before finally saying "so what's the price".
I told him the price I said earlier. He then waits until 9pm to say he is ok with the price and wants to come view it that night.
I ignored him after that, didn't trust him one bit and he was only going to try haggle me down further if he come round.

Thanks! Sounds easy.
Apart from the fact that the 2 screws on the liquid reservoirs are F.... so I need to find a way to un-screw them... Fun times.
Quick question while I figure that out: why does opening the break liquid reservoir help? What's the "scientific" reason behind this?
Thank you!
The fluid is under pressure, it has nowhere to go when you try to push it back in. The reservoir being open allows the fluid to go somewhere.
Also I'm serious WD40 on your brakes can be a real issue I'm not sure what you should do about that. Hopefully someone else will be over soon to say what you should do.
-
No to worry, be very careful now though you've used wd40 - you shouldn't use that on your brakes at all. For pushing the pin back in you needed to open the reservoir on the top of the handle bars to push it back in. A little bit might squirt out and the fluid is nasty stuff so stick a rag around it to catch any overflow.
Have a watch of this it's very useful for exactly what you wanna do

if you have a split link you shouldn't need to remove anything, except maybe the covers - you might need to take all the slack off on the rear wheel. You can remove the clip off the split link with some pliers and slide the plate off.
I'm assuming its this type;
