  1. Do they sell Special Brew?
  2. Nooooooooooooooooooooo, jesus don't give it up because you are having/had a bad day! Keep at it. Go off, do something nice then give it another try. Don't give up so easy, where is the fighter in you?!
  3. The Knox has little thingies that hold the straps (the excess bits) in place so there is no flapping around. After 30 years of camping/hiking etc - it really is the best back pack I've ever bought ! Am I getting a little too excited about a back pack??? No! I have one too and I think it's great. Laptop cover inside is a bonus.
  4. GP Susie, I was very disappointed it wasn't closer to be honest.
  5. Am hoping the next couple of races are not as boring as this one!
  6. I'll be there Maybe a ride to Brighton afterwards.
  7. Ok mate, we often go over to Hawkhurst fish farm place for some lunch at the cafe there. I will let you know soon if we go over that way, will text the lads now and see what they want to do.
  8. Well there looks like a few of us down here and the weather is getting a bit warmer now too. As many of you know I am in Brighton and I get to ride out at least once a week with some lads from work. We usually do Mondays or Thursdays, depends what shifts we are on really. Next ride out will be next Monday, no idea where though we just turn up at our meeting point and decide where to go from there. Usually head off and have lunch somewhere and maybe visit a bike shop where ever we end up. Regular rides include (from Brighton) over to Rye or on to the Airport over there, up around Box Hill, over towards Portsdown Hill or Bury Hill. Usually do around 120ish miles each time. I will start posting dates for the next few rides if anyone is interested or who wants to meet up along the way.
  9. Let us know how you get on with them. I have the SMX Plus boots and they are the best boots I have owned. Better than my old Sidi's by far.
  10. Hi Andy there are quite a few nice roads up around Surrey. Go from Camberley - Guildford, - Reigate/Redhill then on towards East Grinstead. See if you can find Rykers Cafe at Boxhill. Or head south to Alton, then over to Petersfield - Midhurst - Petworth - Pulborough then down to Bury Hill where there is a biker cafe. Ride back up towards Horsham. Another biker haunt is the cafe at Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth, a nice ride down via the A31 and A32. Loads of good roads all over the Sussex/Surrey counties, if your ever over Brighton way give us a shout or something.
  11. No mate I got up at around 1530ish.
  12. Just realised I am working Sat night so won't be there until the afternoon sometime.
  13. Anyone fancy meeting up at Pease Pottage services then riding down to this?????
  14. Had a pair of Joe Rocket gloves last year and they are absolutely crap. Had a pair of Buffalo that were brilliant winter gloves but I binned then due to them getting a bit minging! Bought a pair of Richa gloves recently and they are good too.
  15. Yea I seen the purple gsxr and I think the red one was there too. Missed the cruiser. Also what looked like an old Kwak with a fat bloke on it in a suit, well trousers and shirt and tie! No protection other than his helmet! Did you see the speed camera van just along the road there?
  16. I was up there today. Got there around 1:35ish. Shot past Loomies about half an hour earlier and noticed a load of bikes out there. Had a good run today some great roads around Sussex/Surrey and Hampshire. Would love to have made it up there tonight but I had to back here this evening. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/IMG_0167.jpg
  17. Fantastic stuff guys many thanks for all the replies and for posting the pics, much appreciated indeed, thank you. I should have made it a bit more clearer in my first post that I have looked at hundreds of them and was after advice from people who owned the kit. The trip will be for a few days in August so it will be very hot! Will not be using it too much in colder climes to be honest and money no object when it comes to buying it. You pay for what you get for as they say! Thanks again guys, much chin-rubbing here going on now!!
  18. I need to buy a single tent, sleeping bag and matt for a trip to France coming up. Can anyone advise what to buy, does anyone have one they can recommend? Obviously it all needs to be rolled up small to go on the back of my bike which has no pillion seat. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/Car.jpg
  19. I went into town a few weeks ago on a hot day in my shorts and t-shirt. Had my big gloves and helmet on. On the way home I pulled up next to a police bike at some lights. He glanced over at me, I nodded and he nodded back then the lights changed. I followed him up the road and turned off at the next lights, he carried on going. He must have been having a bad though bas he drove straight through a load of oil that a bus had dumped in the middle of the road.......
  20. My new Alpinestars are amazing boots but boy do they squeak!!! It's the bit at the back just above the heel, the flexible bit that are making the noise! Anyone know how to stop it?????
  21. Knox 6-Pack is what I use although my mate who is experienced at touring says he doesn't like it as it has no padding on the straps on the shoulders. Other than that it's ace!
  22. Some gloves are crap mate. I had a pair of Joe Rocket gloves a few years ago and they only lasted a few months, they were poor considering the name on them. I have a pair of Buffalo gloves. Have had them a few years now and they are still as good as they were when I bought them. They are called Buffalo Thermosport and they are solid. http://secure.buffalo.bifax.co.uk/view_ ... y_id=10720
  23. 2p machine addicts at work!! http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/IMG_0145.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/IMG_0146.jpg Beths leg!! http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/IMG_0147.jpg
