Just as an aside, try and go to the local bike shop and try some on see how you get on and as many have mentioned above get a size bigger! Sidi's do have a problem where they let in water when they shouldn't, my pair as good as they were, leaked and they shouldn't have.

I just got rid of my Sidi's and bought some Alpinestars. Got to say the Alpinestars are ten times better than the Sidi's by far.

Haha! Shortly after posting I spotted that thread in there!!! Doh! We walked back to the end of the pier to the pub and looked around the rides but you were no-where to be seen! We didn't look in the last arcade bit so maybe you were in there. -

Just looked at the route so will catch up with you around Billingshurst. What time you setting off? Edit there is a pub in Billingshurst called the Six Bells. Little car park next to that will be there at whatever time you think you will be going through there. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=112911127039380787312.00048523e2a7f27ebdb72&hl=en&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=51.02247,-0.45196&spn=0.001017,0.00327&z=19&msa=0 -

London Excel Bike Show 4th-7th Feb

I went Thursday. Thought it was better than the Birmingham show a few weeks back. Spent the usual small fortune on Ducati gear though! Thought the best part was the blonde twins on the MCN stand!! Worst part was the food. £5.50 for a Cheese Burger that was luke warm. The cheese hadn't even melted on it, it was poor. Beer was £3.75 a pint so only had a few!!! Will go again next year but not to the NEC. Too far really considering the Excell was only about an hour and a half to get there. -
'Rod York' from here does good deals with cams. I would give him a shout and see what you can come up with. http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2080

You would need a memory card with the maps on it although it is much easier and less of a deal if you don't know about these things if you bought one with UK and Europe maps already on it. The one I have in my car has cd's that you change when you go to a different country. (it is five years old now and was 2k when new) Got a load of discs here for all over europe, some are more detailed then others too for some reason. All you do is change the disc when you go abroad. You wouldn't however have to do this if you had UK and Europe as standard but you will pay a few quid more for that. Best thing would be to go to Halfords and get one of the people there to show and explain what they can do and take it from there. This one is £100, it is less than half price in the sale they have at the moment. It has Europe maps on it and is the cheapest I have seen but do bear in mind it has £150 off. Well worth considering. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_732755_langId_-1_categoryId_165685 Here is the FAQ from the Halfords website http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/FAQDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=14551&categoryId=173000&acCategory=true#g173013

You do know that the NEC one was in November? And it was crap! -
agreed!! It would just be like me saying to everyone here, "Fancy a drink anyone?" Paintball can be excellent fun but the last two that I went on we were in teams with people we didn't know. If you get ten people from here then you would be thrown in with any number of people to make the numbers up. (Lets say the company are looking for 30 people a day, ten just means pitching in with a load of strangers). Best would be to get the place to yourselves for the day, like a corporate event, this is by far the best option. A great example of this would be the TMBF rally thing. There would be enough people there to make two good sides. It does make a difference if both sides know each other. Anyhow, I would suggest having a look at how many people a place can take then working on that and try and get that many people from here to attend. Also a venue central to everyone would be good too. I used to play at a place right next to Jodrell Bank in Cheshire. Somewhere like that would be ideal. PS, I wouldn't do it in the summer either. Have played once in August. Really hard work in the heat. Lots of uncomfortable people and not much fun.

Ok, I will have a go at coming to this. As I have mentioned elsewhere I have an excellent 8 man tent which has three pods, 3+3+2. There is room for another 5 people just inside the thing on the floor with a suitable sleeping bag. If demand is there then I will obviously bring it up in the car but I think I will end up getting a room for myself, I am not sure yet. If I do I will bring the tent anyway for people to use. (The tent itself is surplus to requirements here so is up for sale if anyone is interested.) It is an Outwell Indianna 8. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t46/mum2billandted/indidimensions.jpg?t=1247159242 http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t46/mum2billandted/indidimensions2.jpg?t=1247159130 http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/gallimages/large_98529_1.jpg Pic of it above does not show the two man pod as this is rolled up inside the bottom of the side of the tent. (this can be seen if you look closely at the main door, you can see it rolled up on the floor). You can just make out the air vents above the windows there that circulate air and help vent the thing when it is hot. It also has an inner floor bit (groundsheet) to it that is not in this picture. The tent itself although massive, simply rolls up into a small holdall type thing. The metal frame is heavy but comes in a bag that contains it all. I can get all of this easily in the boot of my car to give an idea of size when packed. Also has a hook thing built into the roof for a light and an electrical hook up tidy thing that keeps the wire out of the way. Lots of hidden flaps and storage places, storm flaps and florescent guy ropes. The big canopy on the right of it can be zipped off and the windows all have blinds that roll down to ensure privacy and also to help keep the heat out. Overall it's an amazingly roomy tent and it is a metal frame tent so it is solid in high winds too. The main pods at the back of the tent can be used as two three man pods or can be unzipped down the middle to make one big six man room. The right hand pod can also be taken down and rolled up against the side of the floor of the tent out of the way making even more space if needed. If anyone wants to stay in it for the weekend let us know here. If not then I won't bring it up.

Anyone up for this. I hate riding distances on my own so if your up for it stick your name down here. There are loads of us on the coast, let's get together and get involved. Will be best meeting up at Bury Hill then going up from there in the morning. More details here http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 11&t=27972

Vicki, thank you for keeping us updated here. I don't have Facebook (I hate it) so your updates are appreciated. To those of us on the coast and surrounding areas how about meeting up at Bury Hill in the morning and riding up there? There are enough of us.
