  1. Speeding?!?! Just think of the kittens!!
  2. It's a nice looking jacket. Any idea what exactly is" boomerang mesh"? One of the issues that stood out is many brands have their own version of textile and it seems impossible to know which ones would actually protect you in a slide. Nope! No idea of what “boomerang mesh” is! So here’s some photos..... Like you say, it’s difficult to know without seeing it how it would protect you, but I’m really confident this jacket. I take the view that I’ll spend as much as I can afford on gear, as I’d rather have it and not need it, than be sliding down the road wishing I’d spent more on something! This is a close up of the outside mesh..... This is from the front/side inside of the jacket looking out, it kinda has a liner between the inside and the mesh This is the back. This doesn’t have the same liner, apart from where the back protector pocket is fitted. I have the back protector fitted. This the exterior of the waterproof liner at the shoulder/arm. The interior of the waterproof liner has a softer cotton like feel to it. IMO it’s worth spending out for. Hopefully you can see it’s well ventilated and gives good airflow. I’ve been wearing it over the last few weeks and it’s certainly kept me cool. And the liner gives it a bit more flexibility with keeping the wind chill and rain off. Hope this helps. If you want any more pics just let me know.
  3. Dainese 4 Stroke Evo summer short gloves. Size XL.Great glove but just find I’m using my Held Air N Dry more so one of the pairs has to go! Very little use and in great condition. Paid £160 for them and still retailing at that price. Looking for £100 ono inc postage. Full technical details n link. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/216732
  4. I have a Dainese Hydra Flux D-Dry summer jacket. It’s at the upper end of your price bracket but it’s a mesh jacket that has a removable waterproof liner. Nice cooling airflow and should you get caught out you can put the liner back in and stay dry too. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/214730
  5. This is my local meet. Couldn’t make it last night due to work but go when I can. I hear it was a good turn out last night. The last few weeks have been pretty packed!
  6. I’m working. Like I was last year! Shame as would have headed down otherwise. Here’s a link... http://www.dissmercury.co.uk/news/burston-crown-beers-bikes-and-bands-1-5497263
  7. Cheers. I didn't know about this, and it's a nice ride from home. This was last Tuesday, and probably 100+ bikes by my guestimation. Which as the weather was forecast as a bit questionable was a good turnout. At the height of summer the green is packed and 500+ bikes maybe. And a good mix of types of bikes and people. I’m there as often as I can be and should be there tomorrow too.
  8. Bit of a thread resurrection..... But still, if you’re looking for a good bike meet, try Two Wheel Tuesday, which as the name suggests is every Tuesday at the Ox and Plough pub in Old Buckenhem.
  9. I have a pair of Held Air ‘N’ Dry gloves. Dual chamber so one side is vented for when it’s sunny, and gore-tex for when it’s not. Expensive but I like them. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/99470
  10. As per title, comes with pillion back rest. Don’t really want to ship due to size so hopefully someone local to Norfolk can collect! £125
  11. Delkevic exhausts for Honda Blackbird. Taken off as traded bike in and no longer required. £175 delivered
  12. Is this an offer? Will you allow the gaggle of bikes following behind to use your fridge? If you do buy a camper van.... Get one with a big fridge... A very big fridge. (You're gonna need it.) In fact, it might be best if you get two fridges... One for food and beer, the other... Just for beer. Oh... And a large freezer compartment for ice. Lots of ice. I’m in!!!
  13. “Henry Hicks was fleeing officers” “He was found to be carrying seven bags of skunk cannabis and multiple phones.” "We won't stop fighting for accountability for Henry's death. We miss him every day." What about his own accountability? He was the one that didn’t stop. He was the one in control of the situation, not the police. He fails to stop, police pursue. He stops, police don’t pursue. Think the family should be looking at his actions, not those who were doing their jobs.
  14. The Pinlock in my AGV was rubbish. The Pinlock in my Arai works great.
  15. I have some Oxford ones. You wire them straight to the battery and the control unit can tell when the bike is running or not. So it switches itself off after a couple of mins when the bikes not running.
  16. How do you find it in the rain? My local stockist doesn't have one, only the Hubba Hubba (which I'm tempted by for the name alone! ) and looking online the flysheet seems a bit on the light side? But I guess it's more of a technical fabric?
  17. I've just found a Vango Tour which is similar to the Stelvio. Not seen one in the flesh so be interesting to see what it's like when it turns up! The Vango Tour does look decent but it's mighty heavy! I'd rather save weight and have the bike outside, perhaps with a cover on. That's my only concern. It's a tad over 9kg. However it's the space which interests me in case of wet kit. My second choice is the vango omega 250 which seems to have a reasonable amount of space but not the height. And is about 4kg lighter. My plan was to give it a go and I picked it up for a decent price so worst case scenario I sell it on and pick something else up.

  19. I've been having thoughts about tents too. When planning to be away for a week or so hotels soon add up. Was looking at the Omega 250 as it had the groundsheet bit in the porch. What sort of size is it when it's packed down?
  20. Luckily it falls within some leave I'd already booked. Just got to work on the money part now!!
  21. Ticket bought. Just need to sort travel arrangements now!!
  22. Evening, Is anyone going to the BSB round at Assen? Tempted to get a ticket.
  23. I have a pair of Hood jeans and rate them. I've previously had a pair of Draggin jeans and I would take the Hood over the Draggin. I've got the optional knee and hip armour fitted to mine too.
