1. There's no right or wrong answer but there really is no need for you to do A2. Either do the CBT and stop there and ride a 125 or do the A license and then ride whatever you want to. You are in a very similar position as I was when I started with this biking lark. If you fancy a bit of a read this thread covers my experience from CBT to one year on from passing my DAS. https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63968&p=997081#p997081
2. I joined the guys for this last year. A perfect way to round off my first year of riding. To give you an idea of what it's like here's my trip report from last year https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=67753
3. Have you just done CBT? I think you may be a lot better off getting some additional instruction.
4. I pay the £40 a year subscription for this app, it's taken me down all sorts of interesting roads that I never knew were there. The super winding road option is silly as you can't do more than 10 miles an hour.
5. There are also different ones for busses and lorrys, they are tailored to suit the license you're trying to get.
6. It's on again this week. Current forecast is dry! Anyone going? Gerontious Snod Blatter ?
7. I've had very good experiences with them but I've only ever visited the shop.
8. I'm not sure but the IAM have their own insurance tie in company so they may assist. If it does lower then that will be nice but it's not why I'm doing it.
9. Four check rides in and it's going well. My observer isn't in the least patronising and Im enjoying it. I'm not learning anything revolutionary but it's helping me improve.
10. I'm on my second set of custom fit guards plugs. I only changed from my first set as I lost one of them. Much better than foam for me but I know a few people that don't have anything in their ears so everyone is different.
11. Gerontious who is the new candidate? Are they any good at writing trip reports?
12. Are you having the akra exhaust fitted too? I'd leave the baffles in then take them out yourself, at least you'll know how to put them back in of its too loud. I'm sure you'll enjoy the mt07, I did.
13. I passsed!!! Congratulations, it's the best feeling. Now down to the important decision CB6650R or MT07?
14. TomAJ91 How did you get on?
15. This is excellent news, welcome to the Triumph club. Does this mean you may fancy a little trip in September now?
16. Get the one you want not the one you think you should have. Either way you will be wanting something else soon enough so it won't really matter.
17. Another big fan of the Road 5 here, I recently swapped my first set out after 10k miles and didn't even consider any other tyres.
18. I've not had the Pilot 4 but I'm on my second set of road 5. They are great tyres but I'm a big fan of Michelin tyres on my car too.
19. If it ain't broke, keep fixing it until it is.
20. Richy vida on you tube raves about them.
21. What was the programme that was on?
22. I don't pay road tax either but I do pay a fair bit of vehicle excise duty
23. The weather isn't looking the best for tonight
24. If you can afford it and want one get it, you're a long time dead, get out there and enjoy yourself whilst you can. You can always sell it/hand it back and get out of the finance if needs be.
25. It might be worth going to your local school and asking if they do a refresher. Even if it's an hour it might be useful.
