  1. I really enjoyed owning mine but the servicing costs with triumph were a little eye watering.
  2. Just given you a follow on insta. That birthday pork looks incredible!
  3. I had one of these as a courtesy bike when my street triple was in for a service and I can see where you are saying. They are decent but they just don't have a spark to them to make you exited about them. The new one is supposed to be improved in all areas. The tiger 800 was the first bike I ever rode with a proper screen and I'd never felt buffeting before. It wasn't a nice feeling when I was on the motorway.
  4. The school I did my cbt and das with offered daily rental for 125’s if they weren’t being used for cbts. I would have a word with your local schools to see if they offer the same.
  5. You should be fine but I would speak to your instructor about it just to confirm.
  6. They're not mine either. But I did my first one with the suffolk rospa group last week. And I really enjoyed it. Cos of the virus we were limited to 6 bikes and then we split into two groups of three so there was none of this stopping and waiting for people which you get in some group rides. We did a whole load of roads which I didn't know, kept up a nice brisk pace and ended up at a chippy. Pretty much a perfect evening. Sounds a bit like something we did but there was no chips.
  7. Going off topic but I don’t understand the hate for Facebook. There are so many groups on there that I’ve got help and information from, I rarely interact with people I actually know but I would have missed out on a lot of things by not being signed up. For those that are saying they don’t like it have you actually tried it.
  8. I'm restricted by time and going by the way countiries are getting restricted again I'm just going to stick to France. My current thinking is to join you all for the 1st night then peel off and cross country to the D Day beaches then Thiepval and home. That is if we are still allowed over there.
  9. Enjoy, I hope your observer is decent, I had a really good bloke who was really easy going and I learnt a lot from him. Don't forget to buy the observer a drink at the end and offer them some money towards their petrol.
  10. If you’ve notified the insurance already then they aren’t bothered if you claim or not they know you’ve Been in an accident and will treat you accordingly. I would just go through and let them sort it all out, you should get the money back for your track day too as out of pocket expenses.
  11. Bloody hell, at least you're ok-ish. How was the driver's attitude?
  12. Might be a good time to get your tickets now. Booked cheers matey
  13. I know fork oil about this subject.
  14. What did I do to it? Rode the thing, 200 miles today and loved it. First proper day out of the year, I can't wait to be able to put the panniers on and go camping for a couple of nights on it.
  15. I've bought a few cars and a bike like this, I've just caught the train then bus etc to get to where I could pick it up. Made a great day out. I understand why you wouldn't want to use public transport at the moment though.
  16. Somethings are worth paying for. Extra tuition is one of the best things you can do to improve your bike, think of it as a mod that can transfer between every bike you ride. Personally I've done the enhanced rider scheme which cost about £60, this was 6 hours of tuition one 2 one with my original instructor that I did DAS with. I did this about 6 months after passing my test. https://www.gov.uk/enhanced-rider-scheme After 2 years of riding I did IAM. It cost me £100 to sign up as I did it at the bike show at the NEC, I had 6 observed rides which I didn't have to pay any extra money for but I did give my observer £10 along with buying him a coffee each time. Each time we met up was generally for about 4 hours. Then I had a test which was included with the original sign up fee. Overall I'd say I've had about 30 hours of one to one tuition for the princely sum of £220. I feel that it's helped my riding a lot, I may have picked things up all by my own just through experience but it would most likely have taken me longer than 2.5 years. I'm glad I did it but not everyone thinks the same.
  17. Was the spindle torqued up before? I shall be double-checking the clips in mine tomorrow.
  18. I did nearly 100 mile after someone knocked it over, I was a long way from home. £2900 of his insurer's money and it was back to like new. Nothing fundamentally damaged just cosmetically. Provided your clutch and brake and gear changes are fine you'll probably be fine. Any doubt call your insurer and get a hire bike delivered asap.
  19. No taking the seat off?
  20. I've got one, it's spot on and I'd recommend.
  21. Why we ride on amazon prime is quite good.
  22. Have you tried calling the dvla?
  23. My work laptop has survived many miles just put in a Kriega US30 and strapped to the pillion seat.
  24. Update and the bike is back! Accident on the 9th December and returned to me today 20th March. It's looking absolutely mint!
  25. IAN Advanced test is even more fun as it lasts for an hour and a half
