  1. Safe travels. Is your last ever Greg's a good or bad thing? Just wondering.
  2. That's a shame mate. Just move on knowing that you won't make those same mistakes again. Put it down to nerves. @ChrisBiggsUK you don't have to buy a much bigger bike than the CG in a few years time. I passed and brought a 250 which I owned for 14 years. Then spent a few years moving up to a 600, 750, 1000cc.I That's how you learn to get the most out of each bike.
  3. Stick them in the freezer for a few hours first next time. It makes a lot of difference.
  4. The new Honda GB350 might be a good shout for you. Great build quality as it built in japan. only 178kg curb weight. And under £4,000 brand new. I'm sure it would be easy to get a text ride at the moment.
  5. Another planet saving scheme that doesn't work then
  6. Morning guys. It's looking a lovely day. One dog walk done. I'm off to wake up the other furball now.

    Horwin CR6

    That's not a great sign.
  8. I have a piece of wood cut to that shape hanging in the shed. For that very reason.
  9. That's very sad @billysugger
  10. My mate has one and loves it. Hopefully you will too.
  11. But that was made with Honda overseeing every part of the operation. Even with brands like triumph who build bikes in Thailand. It's not quite as good as what is produced in the UK. But that is the cheaper end of the bikes sold.
  12. That does sound a bit suspicions. I really hope you get them back.
  13. All the bikes we sold for peanuts. Going for crazy money now.
  14. That's a different bike. This was a 250, with basically half the NR engine. Each cylinder was fitted with a turbo. It never actually raced as it wasn't eligible for any series. I bet it sounded awesome. The NR750 was what gave Tamburini the styling ideas for the 916. It's quite evident when you compare the two together.
  15. I was reading the other day about how Honda built a four stroke, oval piston 250cc v twin turbo in the 80's. It was allegedly making up to 175hp. Their aim was to go GP racing with it in the open (500) class. Apparently they had heard whispers that Dorna was going to allow them to compete with the two strokes. The path of motorcycle development could have been so different if Dorna had approved it. Instead it probably ended up in a skip somewhere. Which is ironic as it would have indirectly led to lower emission motorcycles today.
  16. I had an allergic reaction to a bee sting and nearly died. It was a close thing. Even had the out of body experience. But funny enough I was working on the bike in the shed today. When the first one of the year came in for a nosey. We have an agreement. I leave them alone. They leave me alone. They are nice to see buzzing about in an almost absurd way.
  17. Anti tamper legislation has already been introduced since Euro 4. With every Euro regulations since, it's got tougher. It's not just exhausts. It's making other stuff harder to modify too. If you brought an aftermarket factory option exhaust from Euro 5 on. It didn't come with a removable baffle. Even if the same pipe did brought through a third party. They really don't want you working on your bike in the future. I agree with the stupid loud kids riding round with eBay exhausts. Just sound loud with no tone to them at all.
  18. It's not something that a cheap eBay or Amazon kit won't perform and function correctly.
  19. My old school was closed about five years ago. It now been relocated, and merged with another school. Then given a new name. The old site is a housing estate now apparently.
  20. Did you tell him. "You break it, you fix it?"
  21. Welcome to the forum Jay. The GT is a cool looking motorcycle.
  22. Suzuki generally make lovely gearbox shifts. And the VStrom does have a great engine in it. It's the same bike as the Kawasaki KLV 1000. Which can be slightly cheaper.
  23. The last time I called was about 20 years ago. Got to the camp site and it was already raining. Put the tent up, then went to the pub. When we came back everything was damp. By the morning it was waterlogged and freezing. I haven't done it since.
  24. The old racers I remember had the lights at bottom of the bar height.I
  25. The old air cooled engines can be quite noisy. There is quite a bit more clearance on the piston than a liquid cooled bike. It's hard to judge exactly how noisy it is on a video.
