  1. What issue are you having with it? It doesn't come down far enough to block out the sun, I find in the cold weather it mists up (I've even tried treating it with a rain x anti mist cleaner) and at times, because it doesn't seem to come down far enough, it has a tendency to obscure my vision. I tried just wearing sun glasses but because the helmet is quite a snug fit the arms of the glasses dig in and give me a headache.
  2. Nothing but trouble for me! I suppose what's good for one isn't always good for another though, I thought the idea was sound enough when I bought the helmet, and like I say, I absolutely love the lid, just a shame about the visor.
  3. That's strange, what lid do you have? Mine is a bog standard Caberg and the drop down visor works very well. Never had a problem with it misting up and it drops the tinted section right over my line of vision. I can see why a tinted visor makes sense over buying a whole new lid though if you're never riding at night. Mines Shoei GT Air, drop down visor has been next to useless, which is annoying as the helmet itself is excellent. I do ride at night and in bad weather, visor changing is quick and simple though so it shouldn't cause me to much of a hassle.
  4. My helmet currently has a drop down tinted visor, its absolutely useless, the issues I have with it are misting, it doesn't actually drop down far enough and I find it obscures my vision, I think they may suit some people and the theory is sound but there not for me. I didn't think dark tints would be a problem during the day so cheers for the advice and input folks
  5. I've heard the courts impose curfews like that for certain types of criminal
  6. Yes mine has a retractable tinted visor as well, but mine is absolutely useless, it doesn't drop down far enough and I find it obscures my vision
  7. I know that dark tinted visors are for track use only but in reality has anyone ever had any issues with the law "during daylight hours" with having a tinted visor? I've seen plenty of people riding with them. I was out a couple of days ago and the sun, low in the sky, was brutal, I was considering fitting a tinted visor for days like that, I'm fortunate that visor changes on my helmet can be done really easily. I just want other people opinions who may have or are using them.
  8. Their all dipping their F-----g Snouts in the trough to one extent or another!

  11. X 2 for this one, I passed a bike like yours last week, headlight seemed incredibly bright, some car drivers may mistake this for having your high beam on, it'll get worse as well, loaded, two up or sudden acceleration. Fog lights low down shouldn't be a problem, I had them on my Tenere and they never caused any issues.

    Ear plugs!

Thumbs up for ear plugs, I suffer mild tinnitus, that's from my Army days though, bangs and explosions, I'm not going to compound it or make it worse by not wearing them. My ones cost £4.50 - money well spent.
  13. Nice one mate, I wish I had the bottle to do the exact same thing, truly living the dream,

  15. Really? I never clutch shift up - always use the qs. Only ever use it for the fast runs over the mountain road, the rest of the time its good old clutch
  16. I have a OEM quick shifter on my MT10, I've used it a couple of times since getting the bike and its great, however, unless you're racing the bike I don't really see the need, if my bike hadn't of had one fitted already I wouldn't have bothered retro fitting one.
  17. Yes I agree, snow foam is brilliant for getting ACF50 of, that's what I use, I use the Auto Glym snow foam
  18. I think it was taken in Brazil so the dog was probably a better rider

  21. Nice looking bike, hope you get some decent weather to get out and have some fun on it
  22. Keep mine in a garage, had it on the street a few years ago when I lived in Leicester "never again", not unless I absolutely have to, I had one problem after another. If it came to it I would prefer to rent secure parking, garage, shed, anything to get it off the street.
  23. I agree with Mississippi, sounds like a momentary loss of traction, worn chain and sprocket shouldn't cause this to happen, it doesn't hurt though to check your chain condition, tension and alignment, easy to do, have a look at the sprocket for worn or broken teeth, also check that the wheels are properly torqued and tyre pressures are ok, TBH it sounds like just another of those crap winter road moments

    Mine

Lovely bikes .... very shiny and obviously well looked after
  25. You know, and to be perfectly honest, I'm actually past giving a F--k! What will happen will happen, I've been around long enough to know that whatever me, you or anyone else says or does is meaningless! For every action there is a consequence, I just hope, that when we do leave the EU, that those who wanted to go considered all the potential consequences. There is no doubt in my mind that when fuel prices, food prices, new car prices and the cost of travel increases, to mention but a few "potential" downsides, that those individuals who were so vocal about leaving will be at the forefront of the ranks, whining yet again about the aforementioned consequences. I sometimes find myself asking this question .... My grandad fought in Normandy, my dad served the country and was a Falklands veteran, I served for 9yrs and seen active service in two of the worlds hotspots, my brother served for six years.....why did we bother fighting for a country that seems hell bent on tearing itself apart! IMHO the UK has become a laughing stock.
