  1. Yes my naked hornet 750 is OK on the motorway. Don't know what the Honda scientists have done to the front end but I just don't feel the wind It's a Honda though
  2. Funnily enough I was just setting my 5w monocrystalline panel up to connect to the bike for camping trips so I can charge the phone. It makes about 250ma in sunshine. I put an optimate plug onto it so it goes straight to the battery.. No solar controller needed.
  3. All my biking buddies (in their 50s) have got adventure bikes. Very popular at the moment but don't do anything for me. I've got a Hornet 750 and Duke 390 at the minute
  4. Saw them at Cadwell suzuki day... The indicators are bulbs ffs The (available in UK) Honda hornet is better in every way, even cheaper.
  5. We going to cadwell Park Suzuki event, not been before and neither of us own a Suzuki but should be fun
  6. Done 1000 miles now, first service done (£119) Powerbronze hugger fitted. Love the sound from the standard exhaust, much deeper than the videos.

    Battery cables

The negative will have low resistance to the frame... Like 0.3 ohms
  8. Done 100 miles, I love it fitted the Oxford Advanced Touring grips yesterday, really easy job on this bike.
  9. My new Hornet arrives on Friday With quickshifter and red wheel decals
  10. Make sure the battery clamps are tight
  11. Wait for the 125
  12. The Honda quickshifter is a £240 option. So the bikes are the same price then still prefer the Honda First batch of Hornets are arriving in the UK in February
  13. That's £7235 for the gs8x. £236 more than the higher specced Honda 750 Hornet. It will have to be cheaper here if they want to sell any

    Dry Jan?

Speaking of optimates, you can get a little Bluetooth gadget that monitors them for you.. Only about £20

    Dry Jan?

I was in Lidl today, bought 6 bottles of Perlenbacher (or similar spelling) I've had it before and it's OK, thought I'd maybe open one as it's Friday night... But forgot all about it too late now. As least they don't go off
  16. I'm interested, got a motorhome but I'd come on the new bike with tent

    Dry Jan?

I realised I felt better without drink about 6 months ago, (although I do have a pint on Wednesday lunchtime if I go out) also I sleep better, enjoy dinner more, save loads of money and my blood pressure is spot on
  18. Bod was quite clingy today bless her, she's only 9 months old
  19. Glad you're OK now you can get a new CB750 Hornet
  20. Can't remember my first ride in 1994 it was a ZXR400 though.
  21. They look like screw terminals Just cut the plug off and wire it in
  22. Bought and fitted them, well made and work great.
  23. Does anyone know why some Oxford grips are "UK SPECIFIC"? The ones I'm looking at are OL691 and EL691UK the OL691s fit my bike according to a YouTube video but what's the difference? Thanks
  24. I'm not too bothered about the headlight really, it's just the modern style rather than retro, and you only see it when washing it, or walking up to it... Anyway I like it
  25. 54mpg can't be right.. My 1000cc car does that and it weighs 1 ton
