  1. Yes definitely what Bender says. If there is pressure on the steering lock the key is difficult to turn. Move the handlebars as you try and turn the key.
  2. The top thing looks like a capacitor or condenser... Or might be an ignition coil which steps up the voltage for the spark plug. The bottom thing is out of what's termed a 'socket set' and it's used together with a lever to undo 10mm nuts
  3. My present one when I sell it. Don't miss my sports bikes the ZX6R was mental
  4. It's that tedious I wonder if it is a patience test. Especially as the terms pages say it's not compulsory to finish a couple of times... So, I failed
  5. The stupid questions are even worse. Got to 50% and just closed my browser.

    I'm back !!!

See you in ten years maybe
  7. The only way to test capacity is to fully charge the battery and then apply a known drain for x amount of hours, then leave the battery disconnected for 2 hours and look at the chart above to see what the stranding voltage is. Don't discharge the battery more than 50% though. Probably not worth faffing about with a bike battery mind, if it's dodgy buy a new one
  8. The Lidl charger has got your name all over it a proper 3 stage smart charger for £12.99. Has car and bike battery modes, bike mode is 0.8a. I recently checked mine and it's spot on in that it charges to 14.4v then drops back to a small maintenance trickle charge. Also has an LCD screen displaying the voltage.
  9. Wonder why it's been removed, and now it doesn't start sometimes? I would test it with a multimeter before refitting it

    125cc

I had a 2 stroke 125 years ago (RD125) very difficult to start, would never have another. Probably OK when they're new. Go for anything Japanese that you like the look, and cost of
  13. 110cc Honda Visions are only about 1800 quid new (pre registered) ideal for commuting short distances

    Bike issues

The Lidl version is £13.99 and it's got an LCD screen. Got one on the scoot

Some chargers refuse to charge if the battery voltage is low but it's usually something like 8v. Don't leave a gel charger on for long, they hold the absorption voltage (14.4v) for a couple of hours as the gel electrolyte takes longer to charge. Some chargers have a gel setting, I've just had to buy one for the van £70
  16. Holy moly.. I'm still a bike virgin 1994 RD125LC 1995 ZXR400 2001 ZX6R 2015 Honda 110 scooter 2018 KTM Duke 390
  17. Lordy! I thought my Internet was slow at 2.4mb/s I now feel positively smug
  18. The case is good quality, (comes with it if you buy the adventure pack)
  19. Been out in the car with it this afternoon. It's going to take a bit of getting used to, it's so different to any other sat nav. The app seems straight forward, you can download that now and see what you think. So first thoughts are I think I like it, but the proof will be when out on a ride and I genuinely am relying on it. Love it's dinky size. The scooter mirror mount which I thought I'd get for when on the scoot is £29.99 so they can keep that, found something on ebay a lot cheaper (see link below) the standard mount with the 'o' ring bands will go on the Duke handlebars. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F362623440754 It's a bit industrial but good quality
  20. It's heeeeeeere! Looks good, nice screen, 4 sturdy buttons on the sides. Power at the top left-right selection buttons on the sides and a bottom one. Just charging it up, battery is as flat as a flat thing
  21. Oh sorry they're showing now. Must be my super shit Internet speed
  22. Why don't pictures show any more? I just get a code in a box and jpg at the end Stu have you been faffing again
  23. If that works for you then great I do much prefer a screen to see the directions. 2 reasons why I like the beeline idea. 1 the phone is safely in my pocket with the screen off so the battery isn't going down as fast. And also I haven't got, and don't want a big bracket on the handlebars to hold the phone, or sat nav for that matter. I think it's great how it uses Google maps so the maps never need updating, which is the ball ache of all sat nav systems. I always thought Google maps would be the end of the dedicated sat nav... This is another nail in their coffin
  24. Can't you get the minimum wage? I wouldn't get out of bed for less than £150
