  1. Name and Shame? "New Update Flouncers" (Although i'm sure it was because they didn't remember registering, but eh.)
  2. Once you've done CBT you can insure moped and ride all you like. You could then take the A1 test which lets you ride the same but without L plates. Or ride like that for 2 years, then you retake the CBT. At 19 you can take the A2 test to ride a A2 restricted bike. At 21 you can do the "A" progressive licence test, or at 24 the DAS route (which is basically the A licence in a shorter period). (it didn't let me edit my post after 5 min! )
  3. Do your CBT and you can ride up to 125cc 14?hp moped/motorcycle. So yes, you just have to do the CBT to ride the moped. Once you've done CBT insure moped and ride all you like. For 2 years, then you retake the CBT if you haven't done a test.
  4. GIFs are extremely slow loading for me, I don't know if it is my end or not though. Takes like 3 min to load the first 8 gifs
  5. https://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/forum/discover/ Or click the big Activity button up top on left, shows you all recent active posts/topic. That is one way.
  6. Yes.....this is the new Pay Per View service! Me and @Six30 are in the lead roles with the likes of The Rock, Kevin Hart, Vin Diesel, and Stone Cold Steve Austin in support roles! Car chase coming up shortly followed by me in a bedroom scene with Sandra Bullock! I'd pay to see this! A fiver! TAKE MY MONEY! No mention of letting go of your sis I see. Not into that, just the mayonnaise sarnies, well i think it's mayonnaise, it's a jar @Six30 sent me

  8. Agreed, but that is the crux of it. What would be worth it for those still yet to subscribe? Sexy pics of the mods/admins?
  9. Not keen on Subscribers only area, it splits people up. Can sometimes make a forum look dead. I've seen it happen. Keeping the forum going by being a subscriber is the benefit. Friends with Benefits though... we know what position Stu is now, if it hurt last time.
  10. Looks nice. Wonder if it still has the ability to have a users location under the name!? Gotta keep the stalky vibes. And autochange Dynaxs posts to chinese?
  11. Quite love the forum as it is, haha. I know it is extremely old software, but it always works from my standpoint and is mega simple (and clear) to use. Modern stuff is needlessly 'bubbly' with crap all over the place, impossible to navigate. I loved running forums on this style of software. BUT! I know change has to happen, and obviously don't want this forum gone. Good Luck with learning the software, Stu Add to list for sure As others have said, could I have a link to a current invision forum to see what it is like to use? New Rider!

Welcome! That poor bike will be sitting around waiting for you to pass your tests, such a nice bike! ;D Wokingham eh, where I am from. Good luck with the traffic Enjoy the journey!
  13. That is a desirable bike, scrotes will want it. In your garage, have a ground anchor with good chain. Also depending on your garage, make sure you have some sort of secure door or something - I don't know what you can do 'cos i've never had a garage. But I expect some are easier to get into than others. Like a big roller door on the front, but then a crappy thin wooden door on the side... Get a good tracker if you fancy, monimoto are good and cheap (compared to most trackers). I probably went 'OTT', as on the bike I had tracker, big fk off chain, alarmed lock keeping that together and 2 disclocks. Neither got nicked, so.. ;D One was chinese so not suprising, the other was the Honda Vara. If you're in London good luck. ;D I got most of mine on Sportsbikeshop as they had deals on security stuff at the time. Theres link at bottom of forum for them! ;D
  14. OhhHhhh, is there a Twatometer to base votes on ?

    Mornin' and Welcome
  17. ACF50 is a spray. Although leaves purple marks everywhere and drips all over the place. And greasy feeling on anything it touches. ;D
  18. Thought i'd put myself up here. Add me please. Jarrow, South Tyneside
  19. Welcome, Washington not quite as horrible as Gateshead to ride around ha Bike PIC Love the Tracer, it is on my short list for when I pass How is it for you so far? What did you learn on?
  20. Sometimes, you just... don't. Depending on the problem that happens to you. ;D Wow I was going to put what I felt like, but it turned in to a life story of how I got there. I didn't believe in depression/anxiety etc. I do now. It hit me. Hard. and fairly unexpectedly (to me at least). COVID hasn't helped thus far. I love the new job I got about a year ago, easier, no stress, ok money. But I lack motivation. For anything at all. And no friends up here close by to make times easier to deal with just an other half that also suffers with anxiety. And as COVID has progressed that has got worse. Each time you think maybe theres light at the end of the tunnel, it is switched off and it feels awful. Still learning to ride, did first CBT just over 2 years ago. Had a 125 for a bit. Passed Mod1 last week. Mod2 to come. That is the lack of motivation for /anything/ happening. No matter what it is or how much I want it. It is the only time I am completely 100% entirely focused on one thing and one thing only. Nothing else matters. When i'm on a bike. So i'm happy to finally almost be at the end of the 'official' learning, and get the real learning in my own time on my own bike once I can.
  21. Is there still any of these left? Think I fancy one. Move face coverage, less mirror breakage. Perfect.
  22. I thought most places give you a 'second chance' to go back the next day or 'another time' to complete the training and get you up to scratch if you're not able to fully do parts of it in the limited time they have. Usually at no extra cost. But sounds like the trainer had a very strange way of "inspiring confidence".
  23. A month doesn't seem too bad. Some places it is hard to book both Mod1s and Mod2s. See if you can travel for the test, might find other test centres have more spaces. I seem to be lucky that there is space up here, only a 3 week wait.
