I quite agree it is ridiculous. I’m the mental health end of things, I was once counted having 17 cups on a late shift
2. Hulu’s king cab with D4D engine then would be my suggestion. Or maybe a Nissan patrol or a land cruiser

the idea would be that they do less wandering between lots of people who might be vulnerable to catching whatever you have or are carrying.

Teasmade. From The eighties!
7. But japanese. Something like a Toyota Corolla verso or Rav 4. Can get them cheap with low ish mileage and if looked after bomb proof. My corolla is worth about a grand a half with 135 on the clock. D4D engine is robust as anything. Would be worth about the same in much lower mileage.
8. Thank you very much for the input dude.
9. Thanks Stu I realise you cannot truly diagnose. Am I doing an harm if I son’t Crack on straight away with doing something and it is the plates?
10. I can get a whole new clutch for 54 pounds from CMPO but if it has already failed it’s falling to put another of the same crap back. Plus I have all of the mechanical skills of a sea anemone!
11. What do I do in that case? Do I need to change the plates?
12. Thank you megawatt will do that when I get chance. Stu how do I know if that is the case?
13. Lots of eBay searching. I like the thought of the Deauville as well. Surprise bike like for me has been the GPZ500. Just looks good to me.
14. Okay then: pull the lever on the handlebar and it immediately pulls the lever attached to the engine. When I have the engine started and clutch lever (at handlebars) fully pulled in: Release it and at a 1/3 out it starts to pull away but would stall without some more oomph. At two thirds out it is fully engaged and wants to go/I could not hold it back. I cannot get into neutral when stopped. Sometimes the gears are hard to change and it feels like there is resistance on the foot lever. When I start the engine with the lever fully held in it wants to pull forwards sometimes. When the hand lever has done as much as it can and I cannot hold it nearer the handlebar I can move the leaver on the engine quite a bit further.
15. I’ll check in the morning Thanks all for input.
16. Thanks for the responses. The bike does initially try to jump forwards sometimes when I start it with clutch in and getting into neutral when stationary is almost impossible. With regards to how much play what do you mean Stu? How far I pull the handleba leaver before it does anything?
17. I think I need to adjust my clutch. The reason for this is that I noticed when bike is I neutral she is very easy to push. When in first and with clutch fully pulled in there is resistance. I have held the clutch lever in and been able to move the leaver that is attached to the engine even further. I read online I should adjust at the clutch not at the handle bar. My question for you lovely knowledgeable people is how do I do it?
18. That is a good looking bike in my opinion fastbob
19. Those Husky’s look like the back of the bike has fallen off!
20. Is that Suzy Perry on the left?
21. Hi all, thanks for engaging. This is fantasy land so for me there both isn’t no budget and it needs to be possible. Ideally 1k but up to maybe three and a half thousand. Does the ER do okay with luggage? The bike sort as opposed to the chest with lots of legs from Disc World People seem to be pointing more towards 500s than things like the Verys 300 or Suzuki v-storm 250 (may have labelled those wrongly). There is a mention or so but more suggestion of the bigger bike it seems to me?
22. Hello groovy gang. This is all about my fantasising and looking forwards. Works a bit rubbish and I am fantasising about getting a bike that would do trips up to the Peak District or down to Cornwall or over to North Wales. Sadly my 125 would render such journeys a bit too long and uncomfortable. That said I really like the mpg and the ease for filtering and urban travel around Brum so I was thinking maybe something around 300cc (when I have my license). Is that daft thinking? I really don’t feel the need for more than my 125 most of the time but would love to want to do longer rides. I thought being that you all like talking bikes I would see what you think about my thinking?
23. The good stuff!! Also age dependant, the older house owners more likely to offer coke.... Coke is way too expensive and ‘more more more’ to offer out surely?
