  1. This may help (it helped me, anyway). Lovely, classic bike, Bob, and it seems very well priced to me.
  2. Yes, it really is thanks. However, the jackets are now on hold elsewhere pending a try-on when the bloke who wants them returns from holiday. I'll update this thread as and when.
  3. SOLD For sale is my son's CB125F in yellow. It's in great condition for a 6 year old bike, with generally no more than minor signs of use (please see photos, which form a part of this description) and just 9219 miles on the clock backed up by full service and MOT history. Any noticeable blemishes are in the main on the exhaust and adjacent heel guard; for the most part the fairings and painted parts are unmarked - just one or two areas of relatively minor rubbing or scuffing. It starts every time, and is a really reliable bike for learning, nipping around town and/or just a cheap means of transport (it's just been used for commuting but Sam now wants to try his hand with a car!). As mentioned above the bike has done very few miles, and the service book is stamped for 12/16, 5/18, 5/19, 11/20 and 4/22. Last MOT'd on 11/4/22 with no advisories. Comes with 2 keys. £1675 ONO. Now 1495. Bike located in Hertfordshire and inspection welcome.
  4. Having moved over to the dark side with a Harley due to be collected in a week or two, I've decided to move on a couple of brilliant Triumph jackets that I bought a while back and have since worn about once each (I currently have NINE jackets). They're both size medium and fit true to size, so good for a 40" chest and not too rotund a physique. The first is the Beinn GTX, which you can find here. It's a superb technical jacket with Gore-Tex inner jacket (which can be worn on its own) and a myriad of features - do read the description in the link. Retails at £600 but offered at £185 in the UK. SOLD The second is another Gore-Tex jacket, this time the T1 Deck. The details of this one can be found here (just scroll down a bit for the spec), but again it's a beautifully crafted jacket, with multiple season use. Retails at £450, but offered at £115 delivered in the UK. I haven't posted photos of them hanging from a door handle (but can if you really want me to) - they're in perfect condition and complete with all the armour that they came with.
  5. Just get a Harley and be done with it!
  6. 5 lids 9 jackets 7 pairs of jeans/trousers 9 pairs of gloves 6 pairs of boots
  7. Thanks! I'm not actually a fastidious cleaner, and I'm already thinking that the remaining chrome (mostly casings, as the exhaust has already been switched to black) may have to be swapped out for black. I've spoken to the dealership about it (and a friend with the same bike has just had them do similarly for him) but given that the lead time for the parts is about a month and I wasn't offered any discount, I thought I'd see how I get on as-is first. It's not a cheap conversion, and if I can keep the chrome looking nice I may just forget about it.
  8. Thanks Stu. Yes, the jokes are just going to have to stop, or there'll be a mass walkout
  9. Hi Ian - all good thanks, and hope it's the same in your world. Re the Thruxton, I actually chopped it in a year ago for a Tiger 900 GT Pro. There's no question that the Tiger is a brilliant bike - it just didn't make me go weak at the knees, though. You're bike looks fantastic. Hilarious is about right, isn't it?
  10. What's been going on? I've been AWAOL for ages. Anyway, I seem to have bought a Harley. A 2020 Stage 2 Sport Glide, to be more accurate, with a load of useful extras/mods and following a good few hours out on a demo to make sure I really like it. The stock engine - a Milwaukee Eight 107 - is 1750cc, producing 92.5 HP and torque of around 150NM. The Stage 2 (which costs about £2.5k as an option) adds between 25-30% HP and boosts torque by some 10-15%. In other words, the bike is an absolute beast. In terms of mods/upgrades it's got: stage 2 conversion with S&S 2 into 1 exhaust heated grips engine guards Kuryakn footboard conversion sissy bar luggage rack smoked indicators axle covers premium mirrors It should be with me in a week or so, after the PDI. However, its just been serviced, had two new tyres fitted and been to Freddy Trott for a full valet, ceramic coating and ACF-50 treatment. So excited!
  11. Thank you so much, guys! I'm guilty of having been AWOL for a while now, but to be completely honest life has just got in the way... started a new full time job after over a year of zero income due to COVID; and was also working on a new photography business as a sideline... https://tonyangelimages.com Anyway, hope you're all well and I'll try to get back to participating here as soon as I have a bit of headroom!
  12. Try to replicate it so you can work out exactly what the cause was Seriously, sounds like oil/grease on the road. That said, if your throttle action was particularly lacking in refinement...
  13. This looks like the one I use (and will actually be using in about an hour's time). It works quite well, but the wheel needs lining up properly as it can move slightly as you turn it. It's a good alternative to a paddock stand if - like me - you find using the latter an absolute nightmare!
  14. Hi all - hope everyone is well, and apologies for going AWOL for a while (life stuff) Anyway, I have an unused Optimate O105 dual-USB to DIN charger that I can't use on my bike as it's right-angled and doesn't fit. Anyone want to swap it for a decent non-angled job (the Optimate version of what I want is the ref. O115)? Mine is this one.
  15. I miss having self-cancelling indicators, actually. It was never an issue on the R9T, but for some reason I forget to turn them off on the Thruxton. No idea why.
  16. Thank you! I'll drop you a PM rather bore everyone on the thread
  17. Thanks, and good luck to you too. It’s essentially going to be a headshot business (with some portrait photography for good measure). I have a new page already written for my existing website but it’s presently hidden, and will stay that way until I’ve uploaded the stock images that I need (and that’s the crux of the issue). What are you going to be up to?
  18. Absolutely right but I need people, unfortunately. It’s frustrating but I’ll get there eventually.
  19. Thanks Caroline. Well, It's eventually going to be a new photography-related business, but whilst we're in lockdown all I can do is prepare. I'm just waiting for some equipment to arrive, after which I need to get some portfolio shots together. I can then update my website, after which I can start some marketing (and then wait!).
