It certainly does. I expect to hear from Honda at some point in the near future when this recall arrives here. It's being rolled out in stages worldwide, country by country so the suppliers for the parts needed can keep up. But...  its an odd problem. hit and miss. and more prevalent in some countries than others. Its very rare here in the UK and in the EU. it has happened but nowhere near the numbers in the USA and Far East.  There are many owners on this side of the pond who think its fuel related. some additive the yanks use... or don't use, causing a reaction. for almost 2 years there has been an after market non-approved fix available worldwide. But this is Honda being forced to act, first in Japan and now by the American Authorities.

Is US stock made in different locations to that supplied to the UK/EU (as is the case with Triumph)?

She is sweet. Some people are like pets aren’t they 😆

Chap in a cap grates. His reviews are mainly good but there’s something about him that I can’t like. A bit tightly wound maybe? Or perhaps it’s that he’s given himself a nickname that he tells you at the beginning of every review, just seems a bit knobby.

I don’t mind Anthony from Revzilla cos he’s clearly having a competition with himself to see just how fast he can talk!

I like Revzilla reviews too. As a point of interest, their parent company was recently fined $1.93m as a consequence of selling about 7000 aftermarket exhausts that fell foul of California’s emissions regulations!

    It appears they’re on offer.
The vids funny, reading out loud is clearly not her forte, just as well a lot of people get shacked up together based on looks alone 😂

Ive wrongly been referring to them as sub zero and they’re actually called minus zero. I’ll amend the other post.

I'd definitely watch her before the Chap With a Cap. I thought she was sweet 🥰

  4. Some 20 years ago I was running about 40 miles every week - I had a BMI closer to single figures than was healthy and was fitter than a fit thing from Fitville. Fast forward a couple of decades, an extra stone in weight, a knee that plays up once I run beyond a few miles a week and a couple of years of inactivity and I have to say that I've found Couch to 5k a really useful tool to getting myself out there again.

@Bianco2564, you've done brilliantly, mate, and should be proud of yourself. Keep it up.

  5. For me, at least, it raises interesting questions in respect of art itself. For example, is the photo lesser for knowing the background of it? I know I feel differently about it than I did.

I suppose a bigger question might be whether something becomes art purely as a consequence of a viewers perception of it. A bit like the tree falling in the forest.

i use a place , you send your key to them , they then ring you and tell you how much repair to it is , ive used them 4 or 5 times , most its cost me for a key to be fixed is £30, got their number if you want it .

My key can't be repaired, unfortunately. I've tried two independent key suppliers and both wanted £230 but in any event couldn't source the fob at the moment.

New key for my bike is £70.54 and then there is the cost of having it programmed to work. £40

Yes, I was quoted the same price for a key for my Thruxton when I thought the spare had been lost. However, I'm talking about car transponder keys with remote fobs. Unfortunately they seem to be a lot more expensive than bike keys.

  8. I've been driving my little MX-5 with just one functioning key since I bought it a couple of years ago, as I discovered a few weeks later that the spare that came in the pack was knackered and the (independent) dealer refused to replace it. The fact that they didn't tell me was apparently irrelevant as I "should have physically checked the spare key before I bought the car".

Anyway, I had the car serviced by my local Mazda dealer last week and decided to bite the bullet at the same time as I'd be fooked if I lost the one key that I have. A pretty standard transponder key with remote fob and it's costing me £200, FFS!! Tried some other sources and I can't get it any cheaper, but it seems that this is much the standard price across various manufacturers. Daylight bloody robbery 🤬

  9. I commented on this over on the Triumph Forum, which if I'm honest I knew I should have just left when I decided that I didn't really like the place. Anyway, I posted a comment saying that the little scrotes were clearly scum but that I still didn't agree that vigilante killings were an acceptable form of punishment  for theft.

I was rounded upon immediately, the most popular response to my post being the one that called me a "limp-wristed, poncey, noncey weasel". :classic_blink:

Seriously now, I'm going to have to take exception to @raesewell being nominated for TOTY.  What some people see as pedantry I see as a selfless devotion to helping some of our less fortunate members express their vacuous, illogical and usually downright moronic ideas in a way that actually gives the rest of us a fighting chance of understanding what the hell they are driveling on about. Just as woolly and imprecise language usually betrays woolly and imprecise thoughts, so illiterate and misspelt posts invariably betray a braindead, bottom-feeding f*ckwit whose opinions are to intellectual discourse what a toddler banging a drum is to jazz.

And don't forget he's doing this for free, and in his own time: if he were a teacher in a school where the pupils were as illiterate as most of the people on here he'd be nominated for a Hearts of Gold award for his efforts, and might even get to meet Esther Rantzen on telly.

    Twat!!!

  11. I'm going with @fastbob again. Ever-reliable when it comes to bike-related advice, he also started the thread of the year in which he invited us to open up and share our experiences during these difficult times. Aside from that, he also (I'm sure unwittingly) makes me laugh on a regular basis.

Edit: Oh, I'm a twat. This is just for nominations, and he's already nominated.

@S-Westerly I’ve been there a few times to visit a friends grandmother so you’d think I’d remember but no 😆

We have vulnerable immediate family where we live so are also working on a general AVOID policy at the moment 😞

My overwhelming memories of the Forest of Dean is how frightening the pubs were (a far cry from the Cotswolds) it was a cross between the American werewolf in London and the League of Gentleman. I’m half convinced he must of based some of the characters on folk from there!!

In the olden less connected days it was quite possible to walk into a pub or place somewhere unfamiliar and get the feeling they practised the dark arts and human sacrifice may still be on the cards 😆

Hah! You're so right about this... I recall walking into a pub in Thirsk with some mates, and a literally everyone stopped talking and just stared at us. It went on too long for comfort :classic_blink:
