Only occasionally. It seems to come in bursts of chaos then calm down for a while. Just as well I don't play with nukes though.

Have to get a heat gun. Nice job.

I nearly always get off with the bike on the side stand even at pay at the pump. Mainly because of an embarrassing incident when I rode off not realising a fuel hose was looped around my pannier. Ended up wrecking the hose and spraying petrol everywhere. Now I always check.

How very weird. Mustn't have anything better to do.

Way back in the mists of time my new 250 got a dent in its tank when a large Yamaha with a full fairing blew over and landed on mine. Annoying!

I switch tyres when they are worn to the wear marks.

I go for grip out of choice but longevity has some place. The Road Pilot 6 I had on the Ducati eere pretty good but I didn't have them long before I traded the bike. Heard since that for some people they can have a weird wear cycle. The Metzlers I had before were excellent until they weren't. Literally in about 500 miles they'd go from being OK to not at all. Interesting to see how the Pirellis go on the Guzzi. So far I like them . Pirelli and Metzler are the same company now anyway.

Neither Ducati or Moto Guzzi came with a centre stand and in both cases I paid extra for them. The Ducati's was good and pretty easy to use; very useful for caring for the chain and stable too. The Guzzi's ain't. Shaft drive so that aspect is not an issue but the thing isn't stable at all. It's quite a narrow base and where I keep my bike (on a slope) there's a distinct tendency for it to tip. Consequently I don't use it unless the bikes on the flat somewhere and I'll use it when cleaning. Seriously considering removing it.

Oh nice, but sod that being in the middle of the ocean malarky, I'd get freaked.
As for that responsibility....
I joined my first ship in 1977 so I'm kind of used to it. I like the pay and the time off that comes with the job although the pension sucks which is why I'm still doing it!

Why not? Have you never seen a sheep outside in the rain?
Yep, usually looking cold, soggy and miserable. Much like me when being dragged around hills by my other half.

Mine is like the top one but rectangular instead of triangle.

Are you the ship's pilot?
That's some tonnage to get in the right place.
No, I'm the Master. Boss guy.

I use pay at the pump fairly regularly especially at supermarkets where its just a kiosk and no handy loo. Some of the Asda are purely pay at pump, that or nothing. I've not had an issue with excess deductions. Even in France last year although that may have been the card I was using.

Had the usual song and dance clearing into Nigeria. $2500 "fines" plus 25 ctns cigarettes, paint, oil and god knows what else besides. Needed the crane to lift it all off. The actual pilotage and loading is fine but we'll be done by Thursday. Happy days.

Is this to make it feel warm on cold nights? Can't see it working on mine which is kept outside in all weathers (when I'm home at least).

I rented a SUV in the US for 4 adults 2 boys and a load of ski gear. It was huge but great fun to drive in the sense of feeding our egos a bit. Son in law and I were convinced it was defective as there was an occasional strange vibration in the seat and wheel. Women folk who'd read the abbreviated instruction manual were able to inform us it was the lane change alert things. Oh the shame.

West Mercia aren't flexible at all. Must be being stuck in the middle of the country where the sea is a myth and seamen is something they find in rape cases.

I fitted guards to the bars but mainly to protect from flying debris, stones, pheasants etc. They do very little from the point of keeping hands warmer.

If I had it on high it would be really hot. My controller is attached to the vest and is a simple push button affair. Nothing sophisticated. I'd sen a photo but I'm a few thousand miles away so haven't got it to hand.

I've got a pair of Keis inner gloves which I use in conjunction with a Keis liner vest and my hands are usually comfortable on the lowest setting of 3. I think its more to do with your actual hands.

Although I have a centre stand I never use it for fueling. Always just the side stand. Even if I stay on the bike while filling I'll keep the side stand down. I've got a 17 litre tank so I get about 160 miles ot of it.

If you are going to do that try and replace it with Nissin.

Have to say I have that with the Guzzi a bit. Probably incipient senility setting in.
