Entitled bitch I'd say. Not just nobs about.

Exactly why as a spanner deficient person I take my bike to where someone who knows more than me does this kind of thing.
-
I tend to stick to 2 and 3. 1 is close to the edge of the road where all the crap ends up and often potholes are bigger too. Depends on the road though and how well I know it. As to revs / gear my current bike is quite torquey and will pull away in a higher gear. I don't really think about it too much - if the bike is doing what I want it to without complaining then I'm happy.

Good on you. Enjoy the rides to come.

Don't we all.

Roc straps are good. If you want a backpack Kriega are really good. Fully waterproof.

I find that any forecast further away than 24 hours is barely better than a wild assed guess. Forecasting seems to have got worse now its all being done by high powered computers. GIGO I guess.

My wife's brand new car (Lexus) has no spare although there's a recess under the floor of the boot which could probably take a space server "pram" wheel type. She had a slow puncture from a nail which was repairable but KwikFit sell these at a reasonable price. She's getting one as being limited to 50 mph is better than not being able to go at all.

I've got a roll bag. Can't remember the size off the top of my head but I think it's the 30 ltr one. Works well enough but I always put extra ties on.

Well if I actually owned it apart from just being the driver maybe. Also MB's will be faster than mine in a decent breeze. Certainly accelerate faster! 0-10 in about an hour.

My bad - meant to tag the chap above on account of the ruddy great red tanker in the background. Thought he might have been home
Bit slow on the uptake. Only just noticed the wee red tanker in the background. She's a chemical products tanker heading into Ellesmere / Stanlow and called the Songa Pearl. Size wise she's 17,539 tonnes deadweight. For reference mine is 158,492 tonnes.

While the weather is as crap as it is at home I'm quite happy to be away apart from the lack of flogging of course.

Check your small print as it's quite possible they sneaked that in without making a noise about it. If its not mentioned pursue them and if it isn't covered then dump them as soon as you can as they're not fit for purpose.

Well this has been a crap weekend. Bunged by France at the death for a penalty that wasn't and dumped out of the FA Cup by the people from Manchester.
And my speeds being knocked back by a bloody big swell on the nose. Rubbish all round and I'm not allowed to flog anyone to work of my emotional angst. Capt Bligh had it alright.

I don't want to disappoint you.
There is no sea in Perth
Don't remember being in Inverness and not being raining
That A9 to civilization is dreadful not even good quality speed cameras, only average ones
I'm fully aware that Perth has no sea although the Tay's pretty darned big. Dundee is not my favourite place at all but Perth is a nice town even if it doesn't have sea. I'll agree the A9 has way too many cameras. Would be a reasonable road otherwise.

Must have been to the same site!

Quite like Perth and Inverness though.

Trouble is on a bike you are a lot more vulnerable if the idiot rear ends you. Just take satisfaction in giving him a polite wave as you steam past when he's stuck in stationary traffic. Guaranteed to wind him or her up.

East coast sailing isn't very pleasant lots of exposed coastlines and few islands unlike the west coast. The Clyde by itself is pretty good sailing even in winter.

We might be able to filter but when it's freezing cold and / or pissing down with rain we get the crappy end of the stick.

I'm withholding comments until after tomorrow's match.

I'll agree about IPA as it's not my favourite and grits are definitely an acquired taste which I have no intention of acquiring. Prefer Pieminster pies to Fray Bentos myself.

I still regret selling ours. Grandchildren duties on behalf of my wife killed the boat off.

When I came back to biking after a long period out I found that the first couple of weeks my left hand used to cramp up but after a bit it stopped and these days ino longer have that problem at least.
