  1. I have panniers too - tasteful ones. Not sure if Dynax's can be so described.
  2. Now I understand - that's what the handbags are for. They carry the bits!
  3. Sure am!
  4. Says you! Anyone who has a bike festooned with handbags ........
  5. I really have no answer to that.
  6. Triumph Tiger. Nice bike and being tall you won't have the feet down issues some of us short legged folks have. I found a Tiger too high for me and even my Mutley I can get both feet down but not flat footed.
  7. Not quite - I pee when I refuel. Either that or the first tree I find!
  8. giphy (2).gif The classic excuse the Casuals always use.......what you say @Six30? I'll just point out that yesterday I only did one stop but still managed 30 pics and a vid! But it is marginally better than the 3 Elves.......Bikeless, Brainless, and Elvis.......who managed nothing! whagiphy.gif Jesus one stop and 30 pics! You're worse than a woman when they go to the bog Oh and pointless asking six I have yet to see a ride report from him....... I bet he hasn't even got a bike I'm missing something here. Do women take pics when they go to the bog? And if they do how do you know? We should be told. Also have to say that in general when I'm out on bike I hate stopping for just about anything so rarely get photos and it's why I do so badly on these Challenge things. I'll pass pubs and churches or whatever and realise I could have got the tag but can't be bothered to go back and get the pic.
  9. Anyone who obstructs lifeboat launching sites, fire engine accesses etc wants effing with a very splintery stick.
  10. Probably Russians or Chinese practicing on taking down British civilization.
  11. Maybe it was Stu!
  12. Unnecessary and undesirable are not the same thing. My trousers fit well enough thanks.
  13. That is one hideous image to have to see! I'm afraid if that's the sort of thing you're putting about you definitely shouldn't be a mod! Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells, that's me! By the way where is Tunbridge Wells?
  14. Look on the bright side - on the Multistrada forum there's an American guy who keeps a pistol in his tank bag. Now that's the response to a SMIDSY. Trouble is though in the States probably half the car drivers have one too!
  15. Some people do like more horsepower. I certainly would want more than the 14 or so that a 125 churns out. I don't want 200+ as I couldn't use it. I can use at least a goodly portion of mine on some roads and being able to rapidly accelerate to the NSL has a satisfaction all of its own. I do like to ride reasonably rapidly. My choice and also my risk.
  16. Used to.lust after a Guzzi Le Mans back in 1978. Could never afford one. Now I'm old and sensible I just admire them from afar.
  17. I think the claim of following orders was ruled inadmissible at the Nuremberg trials. You have to take responsibility for your own naughtiness.
  18. Mine has 113 hp according to manufacturer. I don't imagine I use more than about half that most of the time. For a fairly hefty bike - about 220 kg wet plus me it gets to speed pretty damned well. I like the acceleration when I pin it. Would I upgrade it if I could? Probably not as effectively that's the 1260 and for my regular use probably too much. Would I want less? Again probably not as when I overtake on a twisty road I don't want to be having to flog the tits off it.
  19. If anyone on the forum works in HR for a Scottish based shipping company please look away now. Someone decided it would be a good idea to send me to Rotterdam where I can get a Covid test and then quarantine in a hotel until the result or until the ship berths. So firstly I don't get the right information as to where I shall be collected from at Amsterdam airport. After 2 hours someone turns up. I then get transported to Rotterdam and check into an admittedly nice hotel. Agent's rep says it's a 10 minute walk to clinic so off I trot. 2 miles later I find clinic and it is CLOSED. Turns out it's closed all weekend and the earliest I MIGHT get tested is Monday! I am somewhat pissed off. To add insult to injury all the bars here are heaving and social distancing is a joke. Haven't seen a mask since I left the airport. Could be worse though I suppose. View from prison
  20. [quote="Mississippi Bullfrog There are worse places a stick could be shoved. True but little consolation.
  21. Flying to Rotterdam. Getting a stick shoved up my nose. Sitting in a hotel room for at least 2 days. Getting increasingly pissed off.
  22. Can't speak for the present situation let alone in September but normally especially in rural areas at most campsites it's just a matter of rocking up. September is much quieter as most locals are back at work.

    Backache

Private physio are usually not that expensive. When my shoulder was bad I used to see a sports physio about every 4 months. Cost less than my wife's hairdresser. You can get referred by a GP but it can take ages and if a repeat visit is needed as it usually is again it takes time. With me being at sea half the year the NHS frequently is awkward when it comes to getting appointments that work for me as opposed to the NHS.
  24. I've had virtually the same email but not via the forum. Made me laugh as you have to wonder dies anyone actually fall for this shit? Presumably someone must or the scammers wouldn't keep trying it on.
