  2. I will do the same in my next life if I’m lucky

  4. Travel into France is currently heavily restricted - all non-essential travel is banned and anyone arriving in the country needs an international travel certificate. READ ALSO When will I be able to travel to France again? What you need to know about Spain’s new quarantine rules for travellers But the French government is hoping to gradually reopen France's borders to travel from within Europe ahead of the summer, with June 15th set as a possible date for deciding on an initial relaxation. People arriving into France from Spain are invited to place themselves into a voluntary quarantine, starting on Monday, May 25th. France is mirroring Spain's quarantine which only arrived to people arriving by air, so anyone driving across the border into France from Spain will not be covered by the quarantine.
  5. If you are just on the way home, not on a bike trip, then hit the motorways, thats two days ride. You can sleep on a lorry stops along motorway. I don’t know what is the French political decision for people coming from Spain regarding quarantine etc. If you are just in transit they don’t create any problems. But no stopping in France except for petrol. For classic moto cruise I don’t think they will be very happy.
  6. Love, love has strange routes, Make us doing unthinkable decisions
  7. Always great pizza in Croatia and the local peka lamb, pork and chicken stew is amazing. Hope ur enjoying the trip it's a country I love! It’s real hedonistic trip, barbecues, peka, wine, beer, I will have to consider serious diet up on return. My riding gear is getting tide, fortunately tomorrow I am on the way back to UK.
  8. Quick update, no bikes last night as we went for beer tasting, not that I am responsible adult who don’t drink and drive (Croatians are better driver when drunk anyway), but we were barely able to walk away. 8 full beer glasses just 70 kuna (local money), it’s around 10 €, 8£.......
  9. If you tHink that magnets would damage your bike go for something like this, not the bike, tank bag No magnets no contact with tank at all, it’s Givi but as per my experience all their products worth the money. I had givi magnetic tank bag on my previous bike that had metal tank and didn’t have any damage caused by tank bag.
  10. Position wise its spot on but its a bit too flexible so bounces up and down a lot on bumpy roads! I need to make something a little more substantial Set up satnav to avoid bumpy roads
  11. I got bike already with tpms, never had it before. Usually I would check tyre pressure once a week before, now with that option, it become obsession, checking all the time. Start to dislike it.
  12. I did that on my car when I got a tpms warning rhe other day. They seemed rock solid but when I put the compressor on it they were like 1/3 down. Now, that might not actually be a problem, I don't know. Are they run flat tyres, if they are it will always look rock hard, even without any pressure.
  13. Ducati’s of today (last 7- 8 years), are totally different story from ones before that time. I had monster, one of the first models and it was nightmare in every sense except to ride when will start. Today’s Ducati’s are reliable as any other European brand. Service cost, more or less as BMW, At the end every Ducati is exotica so there is the price to pay.

Why do I clean and lube motorcycle chain. It looks nice, clean and lubed, looks good in real life and on pics. As well it is really good excuse when wife thinks that I’m bored and need something to do in and around the house. To clean the chain, first it need to get warm, so it need a ride. Than cleaning, prior to lube it it must be warmed up, than greasing. After greasing slow ride, than cleaning of excess grease and parts around the chain. Wheel cleaning of course. This is why every married man must clean and lube motorcycle chain.
  18. Another Japanese bike, only maintenance needed is putting some petrol in from time to time. Jap bikes stops only when no petrol in the tank.
  19. You don't need to go crazy with it i.e. attacking it with sandpaper - you might be able to rub the paint off now before it dries with a bit of thinners if you have any. Good point! I am sure we have all seen what brake fluid can do when used as paint stripper. I had a mate who had to drive about with cnut on his bonnet when his wife found out about his girlfriend lol. Cheers Yes, it is not very good when your wife knows for your girlfriend Ian
  20. And my ride buddy for today, German and wannabes German
  21. Still good weather very pleasant 25 degrees, dry no rain, today went to Istria, coastal road called by local bikers plominka as per local village that going to. Very nice road, good surface, lot of corners, fast and slow, very technical. No speed cameras no police and more important no tourists. On the way back went over the mountain of Ucka, road is going thru the national park. Another nice road, unfortunately managed to delete most of the photos.
