  1. If I knew how to, I would. I need somewhere to put the thin ends of this, they are like two hairs they are so thin 4049462749696_ml.jpg Try to locate acc1 and acc2 cables, should be under the seat, I have them as well behind instrument cluster. Acc1 is always on while acc2 is on with ignition.
  2. That’s bad news, sorry for that, of course u should read carefully your policy it will be mentioned somewhere.
  3. It is stupid autocorrect that change words automatically. As I use English, Italian and Croatian on a daily base, most of the time computer gets confused as I am as well. Ha yes, auto correct can cause some amusing statements. My car was in for some repairs and the guy text me to say about collection and rather than "I'll pick you up" it autocorrected to "I'll lick you up". Err, no thanks I'll just have my car back please. It is something like what’s up with my wife, sometimes it’s really funny
  4. The leaving room? Where are you going? It is stupid autocorrect that change words automatically. As I use English, Italian and Croatian on a daily base, most of the time computer gets confused as I am as well.
  5. It is time to park it in the leaving room and leave it there for ever
  6. Interesting. Who are these specially trained people and what are their abilities? I'm genuinely interested as I'd like to learn some special abilities. As a human being I am mostly relating to sight, sound, touch, hearing and taste. They tend to work for me, haven't let me down yet. For the record, I've listened to music through earphones while riding and haven't killed myself yet. Than close your eyes and try it. Use your hearing, smell, touch etc. I am not an expert these thinks are researched by scientists, people with big brains.
  7. As human beings we are mostly relating to sight, hearing comes only in to account in zero visibility, except some specially trained people. Distraction by music is possible if you are actively singing, dancing while driving ( as my wife is doing). So I think it’s just loads of crap like many other things in traffic.
  8. DOT certification is the piss take as every manufacturer can stick that label and no one will test it to prove it. So another joke. Beside few companies that maybe take it seriously, rest is the joke.
  9. Not sure where is it, but if is Brazil than he did right thing as he kept his bike and still alive.
  10. Yesterday went to Glossop, Hope Valley, snake pass, and back home, nice 2,5 hr ride in glorious sunshine. Today instead had to go to German shepherd walk to Langsett reservoir, but after that, quick ride to snake pass (in the car with wife and the dog). Today loads of bikes everywhere, another sunny day, bit windy but still glorious. From tonight rain so Sunday will be reserved to sleep and chilling in the leaving room.
  11. Yes by the law, but as well we are squared inside some social standards. My self as well. If I see someone riding without proper jacket or boots I disagree with that behaviour. 30 years ago I argued mandatory helmet. Now I am looking like German tourist 30 years ago.
  12. Good old times when you ride it without any protective gear and didn’t think about it. I am not so old but as the kid I remember this times my father rode it and he never had helmet or any protection. First aliens like riders with full gear were German tourists. Since then everything went down the hill.
  13. I have them on the Africa Twin.. And they don't quite say that. I was as cautious with them as any new tyre... Until I became used to how they behave once up to temperature. This is from one specialised site: The release agent that is left on tyres to get them out of the mould does take a little time to wear off. There is no set period for this, as it's dependant on temperature, type of bike and road surface. All the firms advise riders to take it easy for up to 100 miles, making sure the tyres are up to working temperature before cornering too hard and going easy on the throttle and the brake throughout that running-in period. If you want to be as sure as possible that the rubber under you doesn't need running in, then Continental's 'Traction Skin Technology' could be for you. Continental claim that it does away with the use of releasing agents during its manufacture making them 'ready to ride' from the off.
  14. Continental claims, I’m not sure anymore which model, no need for any scrubbing or 100 miles adaptations. Just put them on and fly. I didn’t try them yet. For all others, best is the one hour on the motorway, to get them properly warm up and that’s it
  15. O yes I do, as I am not waterproof and allergic to rain, decent xxl and it’s perfect fit. It looks ridiculous while I walking the dog in it because is 3 sizes bigger but perfect fit over the bike gear. Fortunately I am not big person. Even over textiles? Honestly not always, but if is really heavy rain and I can see that will last for some time than yes. Mostly because it takes forever to dry after.
  16. That looks good to me, just in case waterproofs on top and for 150 you got it all You won't be putting waterproofs over the top unless you can buy XXXXXL ones O yes I do, as I am not waterproof and allergic to rain, decent xxl and it’s perfect fit. 18. Depend on what breakdown you have. I did have to repair my old Kawi few times during touring and was cheaper than transport it back and repair it. Labour in some Eu countries is cheaper than in U.K. plus I continued my touring.
  19. Thought we was talking about remaking seats and not adding an accessory! It is accessory but really good one, I got my and pillion 15 years ago, does help a lot. Talking about 8,9,10 and more hrs in the saddle. It work as shock absorber as well and add some height so knees are bit less stressed. Any custom seat would be harder and less comfortable. Good aftermarket seats made for long rides are extremely expensive and still not so soft.
