Ride for local lad suffering Cerebal Palsy Nuneaton 7 May
Decor58 replied to a topic in General Rideouts/Meets
Nah didn't take any pics, there about about 200 I think, though if the weather was good I think they was expecting at least 500. Still, was pretty fun -
Good stuff, I like to ride in the rain everyonce in a while to get the bugs off too as I normally can't be bothered lol Sounds like a fun ride!
-
Also, if all goes wrong and you've no idea, just follow the person in front!
-
That's a fair point, I guess not every is as adventurous as others. Personally I just jumped in and gave it ago lol

Just got back, was a pretty good ride though didn't see any forum members Ride back was amazing though, instead of just heading back the way I came I just decided to head in a general northerly direction. Found some great roads and had some amazing and scary moment! -

I'll be setting off in about 15-20 mins, if anyone else is going dispite the rain I'll see you there Oh & number is in contacts section if anyone fancies meeting up/going for a ride -
If the person in front always keeps you in their mirror you shouldn't have to catch up and everyone would travel at the pace of the slowest person.

For the hazard preception, it's just looking out for anyone/thing where it will cause you to break or change direction besides ordinary driving. Best practice is when you're actually out riding, and you see someone stepping out into the road, or a car about to pull out on you, say to yourseld, 'seen it'. The only problem you may have it clicking too soon, if something has potential to develop into a hazard, for example, someone stops at the side of the road, it has potential, but unless they actually make a move into the road, they're not an actual hazard. The trick it to click as soon as possible after they become an actual hazard but not before. I would however, advise you to do at least some actual practise tests for it. Also you have a pm

Well I am avaliable for definate tomorrow, however the wheather doesn't look very nice -
You mean a 2nd man drop system? Here is a very good explaination for anyone that hasn't used it before, shamlessly taken from a triumph website, it would be a good idea for people to have a quick read before hand.

Definatelt up for this, it was really good fun last time, wouldn't mind doing the cat & fiddle again although any nice twisty road will keep me happy. Ash - CBR600RR Sue - YBR125 Decor58 - GSX600F

I'm 50/50 as to whether I'll be able to attend as I might have meetings for a uni project. If I don't I shall be there though -
Congrats!! Good luck with the mod 2

TMBF 2011 Rally! W/e of 16th July - chat & gossip thread!!

OK that would make the battery go down a little quicker, still, 'gotta for a ride to charge my phone' is a good excuse to go for a ride out. -

No need to leave the bike running, the drain on the battery is minimal. Also if you go out for a ride with people just charge it for a bit then. -

Get a lighter socket for the bike, only £5-6 on ebay and are so easy to fit and leave under your seat my sister could do it (she's 13 & not mechanically minded). Can't wait for the rally!! Only 10 weeks to go! -
Well if you can get that now, after a week of practising you should be fine

The Bugle Horn is reopening after being refurbished tomorrow, I've been helping refurbish it so I'll be there all day if anyone wants a ride out and/or a pint later on, some great roads around there. They're also going to have a biker night every Tuesday starting Tuesday 10th May if anyone wants to meet up for that. The Bugle Horn Inn 19 Lincoln Road Bassingham Lincoln LN5 9HQ If you want to go for a ride let me know, number is in contacts section if you want to text me.

Most of the questions are common sense. A week of practicing for an hour a day should be fine.

Going to take my rear tyre to the garage in a moment, assuming they get it fixed and I get it back on the bike today I'll be there. -
Yeah I know hence I've improved my WSB team and picked one of the cheapest GP riders, although there are less races in the BSB than any of the others
