The 200m was the parent company paying out on its profits.

My understanding is the jobs aren't redundant, they just want to cut the wages bill?

They said they were running at £100m a year loss, but could find £36m to cover redundancies?

I read that they had recently paid out over £200m in bonuses etc?

So really they had made £100m in profit?

Also the 100m profit they made was from the tax payer after they had received over 200m from the Gov?

Typical private company getting the public to bail them out but stealing the cash.

so I am in the market for a Tracer 900 GT- not the latest one which has the twin clocks.I like the 2018-2020 one in blue!

But after a Honda NC 750 and then a VFR1200 -both DCT -I got fed up with the first]s lack of power and the seconds sheer bulk-best part of 300 kilos.

Both suffered from crap suspension so both had full Maxton upgrades. The seat issue has been the same on EVERY bike I have owned since 1990 - why the hell can't they make them for bigger  people rather than little far east folk?

so It seems that you buy a bike then if you are going touring-rather than a cafe visitor -you have to budget for seat, suspension and the screen for a Tracer! Oh and tyres -so say in all about £1500-2000

Seems that the Triumph 900 hasn't got all these faults -but costs £3k more- maybe that's it ,built down to a price.

anyway if anyone has one like I want would welcome you to contact me-in north shropshire.

I owned a Tracer 900 GT from new when they first came out back in 2015. Did a week’s trip to Germany on it and it didn’t miss a beat.
However, after 2 years of ownership I wanted something with power.
I also founds it’s limits quickly with higher speeds. It was unstable.

I have owned a Versys 1000GT from new since 2017 and love it. I have no intentions of changing it any time soon.
I do have the Tracer seat professionally altered for comfort and I do have a comfort genuine seat on the Versys (found a mint used one in FB market place a couple of years back)

I also put Hyperpro front spring in and a HP rear unit in. Which haS made a difference to the V

  4. It depends where your Speedo’s bike is being read from. If it’s the wheel I think it’s not too hard to fix it DIY

If it’s a digital speed sensor then it’s engine out (I think)

My CBR600F had the same issue back in 2008 and was digital.
My local Honda dealer fixed it for about £250 or somewhere around there.

  5. My ex brother in law had a gixer on finance years ago.
He wanted to get rid of it but was far from mid term.
He sold it privately and rang his finance company for a settlement. Paid it and kept the balance. (Which wasn’t much)

It happens, and as long as you pay it off then no one is the wiser.

EDIT: He informed the guy that bought it that it was on finance and sorted it all out in front of him.

Stripped the top box today to take a look and fix an issue I had with it!

What a frigging piece of work that thing is!

There must be a total of around 50 screws holding the thing together and while its a good bit of kit I really don't think its all that necessary to be that bloody complicated

Did you need  to use 15 different screwdriver shapes?

    £6.30 for me in Grimsby.

EDIT: After looking at the other menu’s, I’d like to point out that the menu above just says small fish etc because we only eat one type of fish round here. None of that Cod shite 🤣

Don’t be too hard in yourself.

The weather will start to get better soon which means the conditions will improve too.

Just take it a step at a time. Maybe start small. Set yourself a task of going round the block at first. Then see how you feel.
Do you drive? Have you any road experience other than the CBT?

It can take years to build the skills, so take your time.
