I have one who walks his dog about 300 times a day!

If I am out washing the bike its the same conversations all the time usually

Nice bike.........BMW eh.......very nice. Then walks off!

    Or

Nice bike....can you pop a wheelie on it? and just carries on walking!

I think he is loosing it to be honest as I have stood and talked to him a fair few times and its always the same questions and its as if he has never seen the bike before too

Or his dog by the sounds of it…

I have scraped a peg once, going round a hairpin bend with a pillion. I ride adventure style bikes, with ground clearance that mean if I get a peg down, I am more than likely going down.

The Versys 1K has a lean angle of 45° before the hero blob touches the deck.
A sportsbike has more than that so I wouldn’t say that’s the case. I have about 3mm of unused tyre on my Versys 1K and I’ve not touch the tarmac yet with mine.

You're the first person I've ever come across to do this (for road riding, that is).

I found it to be such a hassle I never bothered again.

I've always zipped in the middle.
Not for draft proofing but for safety.
I don’t want the jacket riding up.
Or heaven forbid the trouser sliding down 🤣

  4. It depends what level of GAP insurance you have.
Would it not be better to contact your GAP insurance and get the info from the horses mouth? They will be able to sort it all out for you.

Never used Facebook and deleted it from my devices as much as I can. Apparently WhatsApp was down as well and I do use that for family stuff but never noticed it was out.

    WhatsApp is owned by FB

Signal is a better and safer alternative to WhatsApp.
I’ve been using Signal for ages now.

  6. I have one on my bike. It said plug and play but it wasn’t. The fuse wasn’t big enough on the original wires and it blew the fuse the first time I tested it after installation. I bought a loom from eBay with a 30 amp fuse that runs off the battery and plugs to the original wires. All sorted now.

Just been to Asda to fill the car. It was rammed at 8:15. Luckily as I got into the queue the tanker left and I nipped in. I don’t sit and wait for the pump that’s on the side of the filler like some morons do 🤣

The fact they can’t work out you can fill up from both sides worries me they are actually on roads 😱

That was yesterday! I did think about dropping you a message to see if you was about!

Yeah you're about 4 miles from my house! even closer when we bring a bus in to your works entrance

I was at work yesterday too.
Next time you leave your key under the bus stop. I’ll leave my key with Marshall’s and we can pop in for a cuppa.

This will be the first time any of my bikes have been serviced be a dealer

I wish I had my camera on when an idiot cut in front of me just past the end of a slow running lane on the A6. I overtook a queue of cars but pulled back in well clear of anyone, then this twat dives in front and brakes, causing me to slam on the anchors (thank god for abs). I followed him towards Kettering, and when I tried to get in front of him he moved over and  blocked me, twice. I saw red, and managed to undertake him and shot in front and braked hard, then accelerated away, only for him to try and run me into the left lane, but there was not enough of a gap to get alongside me

There was absolutely no need for his antics in the first place, unless he just did not like being overtaken

Those situations are bad enough, but can be even worse for bikers. I would never put myself in front of someone and force them to use their brakes intentionally because if it goes wrong then I’m the one that’s gonna come off the worst.
In my opinion you rode like twat and that gives us a bad name.
I’m no angel on my bike but it’s not worth getting into it with other drivers.
