1. I think we’ll be seeing more of him at the sharp end this season. He’s a talent and he’s matured quickly over the last few years.
2. It was a great little bike! My mate changed the exhaust and air filter and put a bigger front sprocket on etc, managed to get it to a top speed of 80mph. The engine didn't last for many weeks after that. It seized in the end and threw my mate off (he showed me his shredded jeans with legs to match. The bike ended up in his shed for ages and he kept saying he'd get it fixed. We moved not long after and I lost touch with him. Every now and again I wonder what might have happened to it.
3. Look on www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk Look at the RST gear. The gear is very good value for money. I would definately look at a 2 piecesuit. It's just more practical when out on the public roads. You'll get a few pockets in the jacket to hold keys, money, phone, fags (if you smoke). A 1 piece might have 1 inside pocket if you're lucky. Sportsbikeshop do a no hassle free returns service, so you don't have to worry if something doesn't fit, just send it back for another size. Turn around is not bad either You'll be able to get kitted out in RST gear for a bit less than £600 I reckon.
4. Keep us updated. If they keep fobbing you off tell them you’ll name and shame them on this here forum.
5. Still not keeping me logged in Stu. Sometimes it looks like I’m logged in when I initially visit, but then when I click on latest post on a thread I want to read it takes me to the log in page. Other times I land straight on the log in page when visiting the forum for the first time.
6. It’s still doing it. Once I come off the forum and closed my browser and it’s had a chance to time out I have to log back in manually
7. I would take it in then. See what the mechanic suggests
8. I have a digital gauge and mine shows full bars until it gets to half full. It then becomes more accurate and goes down one bar at a time until the bars disappear and I got onto reserve. It then counts down from 40 miles. Have you had your bike long? Could this be the same as yours?
9. Cheers It was a toss up between the orange or this. I didn’t like the Kawasaki green for this bike. I preferred the black as it reminded me of the AR50 my best mate had back in the 80’s. I was too young to own a licence at the time, but he taught me to ride it anyway. I rang the Mrs from the dealership and said Black or Orange. The rest is history.
10. Hi guys I don’t know if anyone will be interested in getting involved in the Fair Fuel movement. Quintin Wilson is a big player in fighting for motorists. Anyway, the survey is below if you’re interested In voicing your opinion to government. The more the merrier! https://www.fairfueluk.com/forms/GoveSurvey/GoveSurvey.php
11. Very good honest opinion. I think that RST are gaining traction all the time. For the money their gear costs, I think it's very good value for money.
12. Safari IS shit. Use chrome it's much better.. I’ve been using Safari with my phone for years now. I’m old and don’t like change. What makes Chrome better than Safari? I used Chrome ages ago on PC but found I preferred Firefox so have used that for years now.
13. After using a web browser (Safari) with the forum for a couple of days it has been very annoying in the fact that it will not, despite me checking the box, keep me logged in. Any ideas Stu? Don’t tell me Safari is shit either.
14. I think the SHARP program should get involved in testing action cams placed on motorbike helmets. I recently purchased this go pro knock off from Amazon. From the little bit I’ve played with it round the house, it looks pretty good for the price. Until the weather turns better I won’t know how it performs in anger Campark ACT74 Action Camera 4K 16MP Waterproof Cam 30M Underwater Camera 170°Wide View Angle 2.0 Inch LCD Screen with 2 Batteries and Portable Package https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01J51W5QG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3EoRAbTQFM2RE I won’t be putting it on my lid though. I hate watching these YouTube videos where the camera is mounted on a helmet. It makes me feel sick when it’s all over the place. It will be going behind my screen, but I think I will have to approach an engineering company down the road to make me a bar that I can screw into my say nav bracket. I like the camera to be in a fixed position.
15. I’m sure I’ve (or heard) recently that this going to change. The authorities will be fining the perpetrators and making them redo it. I know Gerontious has mentioned this in the past as to why a lot of European roads, especially Germany, have very good road surfaces, (on the whole). The sooner this comes to pass the better. Now my 2p worth Surely with today’s tech we have, someone can come up with a road surface mixture of a tarmac, rubber, plastic, (corned beef) that will not allow water to ingress? This would cut down on potholes in a big way. Of course it would probably cost more in the short term for counsils (it wouldn’t surprise me that if there was an investigation then we would find out that they were all choosing an inferior tarmac as it’s cheaper, just like everything else we are hearing about lately), but the surface would/could/will last 10,20,50 times longer than the shit we are using now. As for this surface dressing. They may as well be throwing our taxes down the road for all the good it does. It’s downright dangerous for us bikers. Especially as they see fit to stick it down right in the middle of season it seems.
16. Use this link https://www.gov.uk/motorcycle-cbt/complain and make an official complaint. If you don’t then they will keep getting away with mugging people off. Boils my piss these unscrupulous schools.
17. I've just been to the forum on my web browser................it's changed since I last viewed it like that!! You can delete TT now Stu ..............it's shit
18. I love the LIKE button, but I can only see it on the forum when I'm on my laptop (which isn't that often) and would like to use it more often. I use Tapatalk on my phone (which I use mostly to access the forum) I have looked for the LIKE on TT but can't find it. Is it even a feature on TT? If not, that's a shame Hint Hint Stu

21. Top write up - but just a note that in your test you are to ride only as if it was you, do NOT wait until gaps big enough for you and the examiner they will mark you down for it (I'm sure your instructor will tell you this once you're up to speed with the controls and stuff) +1 Also. Your instructor is on a bike. It won’t take him long to get back behind you if he needs to. [emoji6][emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
