I wear contacts also. It makes riding at certain temperatures much safer because there are no glasses to fog up. Going back to one answer that you received. When I do wear my glasses I take them off, put my helmet on and then put my glasses back on. Reverse for taking lid off. I don’t know why you would want to keep your glasses on while trying to pull your lid over them??

Iirc he didn’t want to leave his bike unattended at the location it was at. I don’t think you would have either. I learned a lesson or two, or shall I say my eyes were opened on that trip.... That although it was stated that it wasn’t an organised trip by anyone in particular, anyone was welcome to come along and be a free spirit, able to tag along on pre planned routes, or go off and do their own thing should they wish.....imagine my surprise when the route and destinations of every days ride was withheld when I requested them. Anyone would think somebody wanted to play at being Pied Piper all week. And woe betide anyone should they want to be a free spirit and decide to take a different route on the voyage home (along with the other person that is no longer considered a friend and hasn’t been spoken to since the 2015 trip) A route they were so pleased they never took after reading the ride reports. Yes, I definitely learned a thing or two

....and be left all alone in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black with not a lot of phone service, waiting for your breakdown company to get back to you....all alone save for a few....a few who sacrificed their meal at the hotel to wait with you....who were stood dithering as the cold night started to set it, which gave one of the few the flu.....the one that wouldn’t leave anybody alone anywhere. Next purchase from these guys will be the chain alignment tool so just waiting for Xmas They have the full range of stuff these guys do in Halfords. I will be using my trade card

Or what about a ‘big’ scooter like the burgman 400 or 650. The Yamaha Xmax 400, or for me the Tmax, which is a 530. All low seat and from what you’ve said about bimbling around I think they might just fit the bill. It’s worth going for a test ride on each at least I’d say.

I’ve dealt with RM in a previous job so I know a lot of what goes on. One of the guys that came for our collection is a mate now so I still get inside info.

Could you look at getting the seat remoulded to make it lower? I’m sure there will be someone near you that you could go and talk to. You could then look on eBay for a used original seat and offer both when/if you sell in the sell future.

The owners will get a letter notifying them. I received one when I had my MT09 Tracer. Can’t remember what it was for now, oh yes I do, something to do with the internal gear selector could snap. Something along those lines. Glad I got it done before I went to Germany.

I didn't like the fact that I was required to download it . Really? I saw the pic straight away on my phone. That doesn’t sound good! Did you or have you ran a scan on the file? EDIT: I’ve now just noticed the little download icon in the top right of the image boarder. This seem really dodgy. Especially as it’s the OP’s one and only post. I would be doing a full system scan if you’ve downloaded the image. I’ll report this to admin so they can look into it.

The only advise I can give you is to give www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk a call and see if they can give you any advice on what they stock. They have the largest stock of motorcycle clothing in the UK. They do a free returns policy so if something doesn’t fit, then you can send it back for an alternative size. Pros: You can try on in the comfort of your own home. Cons: it can take a while longer to get the right fit occasionally. Their head office and shop is in Boston, but they have just opened up another shop in Milton Keynes, which I’m guessing is still to far from you. Their sales model is internet based though. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, so I’m sure you will get the info of which brands are better for the taller person. Good luck and let us know how you get on
