  1. Not sure if I like it yet. As we know it's supposed to make it fairer and stop someone running away with the title when there are still 3 or 4 meets left and the fans get bored and don't come and pay to watch, which means the teams and everyone in the industry suffers finacially blah blah. The thing is, this doesn't happen very often and I don't think it's fair if a team has worked so hard that they are heads above everyone else. I'd be gutted if I knew I could easily win the title, then the next best 5 guys become equal to me in the last 3 races and my bike buggers up on the last meet and I lose the title. I do like the second race grid format rules though. Now that is very fair and puts a good twist to every meet. This in my opinion will more than likely stop someone running away with the title.
  2. Sky+ for me too. WOW! Was on the edge of my seat in Race one......Looks like it's going to be a very close season (which makes it good for us lot) Let's hope they're all this close every weekend. C'mon Haslam!!!
  3. There has been one set up for tmbf, but at a fiver a pop I'm not bothered. I can set a free one up one up if you want. edit....there is a free one pin is 80!
  4. Well done fella!!! Just go steady with that right wrist in this weather
  5. A lot of people are getting duped with this. Always go through the offical DSA website to book both of your tests. Good one for spotting in time.
  6. Spoke to a guy who works in our local bike shop on Sunday about these. He's thinking of stocking these, but not sure if the gimmick is enough for peeps to but them. They are knocking on the door of £300 for a designed one and tbh, the designs aren't all that. I think untill they can get some rep colours or better designs sorted then peeps will still opt for the Shoei lids or even an Arai Chaser. I know I would.
  7. Yeah, Lorenzo HAS (well, doesn't have to, but it's gonna help) to win every race left now to take the title. Possible, but unlikely with Stoner back and Pedrosa getting it together finally. All I know is that Stoner is defo gonna stick a spanner in the works ( might even try and help Lorenzo take the title out of spite ) They all want to win every race and I think it's going to be a cracking last 3 races. It's been the best GP racing for a few years now. I know there have been some boring races, but the championship overall has been cracking. This year has also prduced the one of the best GP races ever imo. I still want Rossi to win the title, but would be good for Lorenzo to take it.
  8. Your stuff sounds like a good fit. Unfortunately if you want everything to absolutely perfect, then you'll have to fork out for M2M (made 2 measure). As has been said. You need to make sure the knees are in the right place when you're sat on the bike. Don't worry if the legs feel a little short when you're stood up, your boots will be going over them and you may even need to pull your pants up from the knees in order to feel comfy on the bike. Your leather will stretch slightly over time. So if they feel really nice 'n tight now, then they'll get a bit looser soon. The only problem with leather stretching is that it doesn't go back to normal (as of yet anyway) I know they are looking into leather that will flex but keep it's shape. Something about being able to combine latex fibres with leather. That'll be cracking stuff when they get that sorted!
  9. Only just seen this. Been getting my downpipes welded as I found a couple of holes yesterday. Managed to get a temp fix for tomorrow. Will be there around 10:30am with a couple of others.
  10. 1. Pedrobot 2. Rossi. 3.............hmmm Lorenzo is undoubtedly gonna fall off again.............sooooo...... .......Edwards?
  11. Congrats. You won't be able to get rid of that grin for aaages!
  12. 'Tis bloody gorgeous in that part of the country. I have a couple of mates in Pontesbury and have been shown round twice now. Even though I've got the Linc Wolds on my doorstep I can't wait for next time Here's a couple from Covenham Resevoir... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/paul_adi1/10042009018.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/paul_adi1/10042009020.jpg
  13. Just spotted this. I went to Hunny last weekend for the 1st (and last) time. It was really nice when I got there. The only reason I won't be going back is because I HATE the roads from Boston onwards. Mindnumbingly boring straight roads called the A16/17. I can say I've been now, but I'm spoilt really as the beach is only a hop from where I live. Well, if you can call Cleethorpes being spoilt Also I've got the Licolnshire Wolds right on my doorstep too. Have a great time those that are going. I hope the weather is kind. There are always some nice bikes to drool over.
  14. There are lots of factors involved in Countersteering. As has been said, we all do it without thinking. It's natural to countersteer and we do it subcontiously. Now, if you can learn to do it contiously, then you'll be able to turn your bike better into bends & corners. I'm not very good at explaining complicated stuff, but here is some artciles to have a look at on the subject. Hope someone finds it interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countersteering ">
  15. Another vote for the Michie Pilot Road 2's. I've had two set sets of BT 021's on my CBR6 and since putting the PR2's on (nearly 4k ago) I can safely say that I won't be going back to Bridgestone. Don't get me wrong. The BT021's are a good long lasting tyre. I've found the PR's to be better and having done 4k on them so far look like they will last at least as long as the BStone's IMO there is lots more feel from the PR's than the BStone. I found the BStone's will tram badly and pull you into the slightest crack or depression in the road. I must have got used to it 'cos when I put the PR's on I noticed I'd tense up when expecting the tram to happen. The PR are really smooth over stuff like that. The grip levels are spot on for the road too. Brilliant in the wet. Overall, much more confidence inspiring than the BStone's. I can't comment on any other make, as they're the only ones I have experience of.
