    Hello all.

    Hello and welcome
  5. Yeah i did see that in the sat nav data, but as i use it in the car as well i can't be sure where the max speed was obtained, i would have to reset the data and do a run on the bike, which would simplyfy things for me But, my SatNav will let you review the trip log and give max speeds for each leg. Modern ones might but mine is a 14 year old roadcom RC400
  6. I only got as far as reading the first one on the plane as i was hurting from laughing too much I will try and read a few more during the coming days
  7. Time to stock up ready for Halloween
  8. Hello and welcome
  9. Will rig up some way to record the sat nav screen as i want to see for myself as i was only going by the speedo which aren't the most accurate anyway, give me something to do over the weekend Most SatNav’s will save the max speed recorded. Just post that. Yeah i did see that in the sat nav data, but as i use it in the car as well i can't be sure where the max speed was obtained, i would have to reset the data and do a run on the bike, which would simplyfy things for me
  10. Will rig up some way to record the sat nav screen as i want to see for myself as i was only going by the speedo which aren't the most accurate anyway, give me something to do over the weekend I'm sure there's an app for that. No good for me though i don't have a smartphone, and trying to fit my pc and monitor or laptop to the bike isn't very practical
  11. im up that way next week , I shall check the café out. It's not far from where i was on Sunday, looks like another venture out in the peak district sometime and have a nosey
  12. I don't have that problem either, i can whizz past Audi drivers no problem on my 125 Sounds like you are nearly flat out I think i was at just over 3/4 throttle at that point
  13. Have you never tried to overtake a car only to have the twat speed up just to keep you hanging out there too long? Yes!! And that f*cking annoys me though that was on the 125 now I don't so much have that problem I don't have that problem either, i can whizz past Audi drivers no problem on my 125
  14. It can be done by anyone but if you want to keep in line with the warranty it will most likely need to be done by an approved mechanic selected by the manufacturers
  15. Some of our club members are IAM instructors and in a few weeks time they will be doing a slow control session, due to covid they had to cancel other training sessions but hopefully they will resume again, and for us it's free as club members so it would be rude not to
  16. Planning on being a speed demon this weekend

    Evening all

    Hello and welcome
  18. Same with the CG i have, needs 1/2 choke to start from cold and needs a couple of minutes idling before you can rev the throttle
  19. I want GPS confirmation of that! Will rig up some way to record the sat nav screen as i want to see for myself as i was only going by the speedo which aren't the most accurate anyway, give me something to do over the weekend
  20. Did you sweep the bits up afterwards ? No i will pick them up next time i'm down that way
  21. Hello and welcome, no idea but my chinese 12hp very heavy cruiser nearly got to 80 and cruised nicely at 75 the other day
  22. Totally agree i was and am the same, it makes you wonder how many cyclists could even fix a puncture
  23. I have taken this from another forum which highlights everything clearly
  24. On the whole i don't think the newer riders like to get their hands dirty, which is probably down to parents not letting their kids play in the mud
  25. My bet is on cheap materials so they don't last long and need replacing sooner To some extent yes but a poor quality machine that is looked after will last longer than a neglected quality one
