    Running problems

It was collecting in the section around the cap and when I opened it it dribbled in.

    Running problems

Well well well, she's running properly again Fuel cap overflow was blocked so water was seeping into the fuel tank hence the bogging down etc. Emptied the tank and put some fresh fuel in and she's running fine now.

    Running problems

Had the air filter off at the side of the road didn't help, fuel filter is first on my list of attack.

    Running problems

I broke down today (see my other thread) RAC guy reckons it is the coil pack however the guy that picked me up reckons it's fuel starvation. The symptoms are: It starts and idles fine, when on full throttle fine, it started to stutter and cough when I let go and reapplied the throttle and I mean the bike was jerking about but after 2-3 seconds it would be fine again until I released the throttle. Any ideas? Biker that picked me up suggested checking the fuel flow from the tank to the injector.
  7. Broke down on a coastal ride 70 miles away from home and only have roadside assistance F**ck it!!!!!
  8. There's a group on Facebook called "East Anglia 125 Riders" they do rideouts.
  9. I found it! Edit: Just tried to check insurance as well and it can't find the bike interesting!
  10. Viagra might help.............. Sorry couldn't resist!! What bike is it?
  11. Might be worth checking your tyre pressures and chain sprocket condition. When was it last serviced? Sounds as tough you're requiring more effort to move essentially.
  12. I pay my insurance monthly so I thought I have to pay it all off if I cancel it? To be honest I think I'm gonna stick with my little 125 got my eye on a bargain at the minute so maybe a new bike will keep me happy until I'm 24. And before anyone says spend the money on my licence I won't have any because the money I'd be using is the money for my other halfs insurance so once I sell my bike it will be going back into the savings account. Bob I didn't realise you can ride it for as long as you want.. Seems a con though that you have to do another test after 2 years. I get the idea of restricting the bike so it's less powerful but why not let it automatically upgrade to an a licence?
  13. I want a bigger bike but I have to consider the cost first of all, plus the fact I can't cancel my insurance on my 125 for pretty much another 10/11 months so even if I get a bigger bike I'll still be paying that. The company I'm with are about £300 more expensive than the rest! I'm swaying more towards keeping the 125 at the moment but I'll probably change my mind again..
  14. If you go to a garage it will be around that figure depending on where you live etc
  15. Well if you trust him then go for it, I know I'd be weary of it. Has he got any proof of a recent top end rebuild? If not then walk away cause that will sting you another £500 ontop of the £700 you want to spend on the bike and for that money you can buy a decent uncrashed one or even a mito.
  16. Also those stickers are aftermarket which suggests it's been resprayed at some point, 9 times out of 10 this means it's been dropped and crashed and resprayed to hide the damage.
  17. From the picture which is light enough to see anything just about it's missing the air intake tubes (these don't do anything just hide wires) the side inspection panel is missing, end can looks as though it's been chopped off so he's probably sold it as they go for a good price on eBay £80+ for an arrow end can. The screen is missing in one picture as well which suggests some sort of frontal impact which means there could be a whole heap of problems. Personally I'd steer clear of it, 2 strokes are like women you have to treat them well and buy expensive things to keep them happy, if you don't they can be unpredictable and very stubborn. Basically if you want a 2 stroke spend more money on one, a decent one will go for between £1500-£2000 now a days.
  18. I was planning on doing my A2 licence soon so I've been reading up about it and what I didn't realise is that after 2 years you have to take another test (A category licence) so that means £450 (ish) for the A2 licence and after 2 years another £300 (ish) for the A licence so a total of roughly £750. Obviously that's a lot of money especially considering you can do a DAS for the same price as an A2 licence. Now here's the dilemma I'm 22 and will be 24 in just under 2 years and my CBT runs out in November do I go for:- Option 1:- Do A2 before my CBT runs out in November then after 2 years pay £300 to do my full A licence. Options 2:- re-do my CBT in November for £90 and ride on L's for another 2 years until I'm 24 and do a DAS for £450. Opinions? Also by riding for another 2 years I'd have 2 more years no claims (I hope!) therefore cheaper insurance.
  19. Well done mate, told you it was easy didn't we. If you need help with anything else you know where we are
  20. Yes, generally we say about an inch (2.5cm) at the slackest point of the chain. Check your bike manual for the exact free play. Have you adjusted your clutch at all? As this can also affect it.
  21. Never done it myself just seen others post about it, here's the top google search for it http://blacklabadventures.com/2012/04/0 ... val-tools/ seems simple enough just make do with what you've got.
  22. Ah if only it was closer to me, I've had this week off as well. Hopefully I'll be able to come next year on a big bike have fun everyone and ride safe.
  23. Get a normal socket that is the right size and cut the teeth out. Simples! Edit: added picture
  24. Aww damn! I just looked on here and assumed no one was going, never mind there's always next time.
  25. The one time I'm in littleport with my bike and no one went so neither did I
