1. Yep, on Ebay we sold a Playstation PSP which was immaculate, not a scratch on it and I took a video and pictures of it working with all the included games and also pictures of it very well packed for shipping. The buyer messaged saying it wasnt working, when we had proof it was, Ebay wasnt interested. So not only did we have to refund the buyer his money AND the return postage, we also got back a non working PSP.

Ebay then put our PayPal account on restriction because of the issue?

WTF! Was it even the same PSP. Stories like these makes me think we need to be more cautious as the general public is not the be trusted.

It is ridiculous. We contacted Ebay and they said "well the buyer said it's not working" Our answer was we have proof it was working so they must of broken it" We said to Ebay we weren't comfortable with giving our address out and they gave it to the buyer anyway.

It's certainly making me think twice about selling any electrical goods on eBay now; not that I ever sell anything on it but it does make me question if I would now, Gumtree is probably more reliable as you would need to see the buyer in person so you can in theory show them it is working, plus once the transaction is done, the trade is complete!

  2. Thanks! @Gerontious

So essentially the same as a scooter but with additional buttons to go up and down gears.

almost.. it has a traditional gearbox. with 2 clutches. 1 controls the even gears, the other the odd gears. changes are made with zero loss of power. click click click. When the bike is in 1st gear... its also already in 2nd and waiting. like a Porsche 911 Carrera. the image shows the down paddle. the up paddle is out of sight.

My Africa twin has a DCT transmission.. its an absolute hoot.

difficult to see.. but no gear foot pedal.

Learning something new every day on this forum. I would love to try that out when my skills improve (and when I have a full license). 8-)

    Not a Scooter.

I would say it's a scooter as the foot position is the same as what a scooter is like, there is no rear back break pedal from looking at that photo however I may not be seeing it? *awaiting further input*

  5. A scooter, hardly .... , a 750 cc Frankenstien .

I thought it was a scooter from reading the post name but @Six30 is right, that looks like a proper bike without gears!

    It has Six gears.

Oh! I has gears, I thought it was like a traditional scooter where it was just twist and go. I stand corrected! Thanks for letting me know Gerontious

  6. Sold an iPod on eBay once was pictured in working condition etc. Buyer claimed it didn’t so I sent photos of it working etc to eBay, they still took the buyers side issuing them a refund and then chased me for the money. So not only did I loose an iPod it cost me about £100 refunding them, never used it since absolutely scan considering I didn’t even get the item sent back.

I'm surprised that eBay forced you to refund the buyer when they didn't even return the iPod, what a joke if that is how the treat the seller!

  7. It has made me think of breakdown cover. My insurance gives me breakdown cover up to 20 miles from home. Don't think this is enough really.

Personally I don't think it's enough either, most the time folk break down when they are miles away from home. From personal experience that this!

  8. I could see the Neotec2 is a flip up helmet. Did you order it on the same size as what you normally wear or did you go a size up? I have the exact same problem with mine but I had ordered a size up and have the same problems you have. I never noticed it before but after having worn a full face helmet since the start of this year, going back to the flip one hurts my head. :?

I believe the padding will eventually form to the shape of your head so it may improve after you wear it for a bit longer. I would try a size down though if it is still get a chance to swap it?

  9. My CBR125 has that problem too, when I'm gear up the bike drops speed too and when I drop down a gear when I'm at that speed, the rev counter is almost red lining on 4th. It usually only happens if I am not doing a smooth acceleration or if I forget what gear I'm in (my bike is that old). Generally if I gear up smoothly and the road conditions are good, the speed will go up without dipping when I go up the gears.

  10. Hey McLovin!

Looking on the Honda website, it appears the new CB125R has ABS. Do you think that's what you are feeling when you are breaking to slow your bike down? I doubt the bikes you rode on your CBT would have that on theirs.

  11. They will do nearly 35mph if healthy. Very quick that close to the ground. Tbh way too fast for a 3yr old. I would suggest restricting the throttle to 5mph somehow.

Clutch is not adjusted, maybe it's seized. Take it apart and grease the pivot points. :thumb:

I was going to say, 35mph for 4 yr old, I'm not sure her parents are going to approve! Do they even make helmets that small?

  12. Armaxion has come to an end after 6 years or so... they often discount hugely before the revision. get the jacket from one place and the pants from another.. or mix and match.

pants I have don't match the jacket.. but they match enough not to make the slightest difference.

I would easily have gone for the jacket.. but, my own Rukka jacket is only 9 years old and not even close to the end of its life. I dont need two.

I like thrift. I still wear all the Bell staff gear my grandad left me. Not a mark on it. 50 years old and still going strong.

The only way we will believe it is if you take a photo of you and your gear with today's newspaper!? 8-)

I guess it's true what they say, buying quality does beat buying on budget as they do tend to last longer. I've invested a lot on body armour alone so I'd opted to purchase just standard jackets and trousers to compensate for it for the time being. I'll love to own a quality jacket and trouser set down the road one day. :)

  14. At £350 for the trousers and £500 for the jacket, seems like a good price to me for Rukka. From Helmet City.

    I'm not on commission :(

That is indeed a good price for that Rukka set for those who are in the market for new gear and that their sizing is available. (I could get the jacket but the trouser isn't available in my size)
