Chains

Can I have some advice about chains please? Do you get what you pay for? What should I know? https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/kawasaki/zzr_600_zx_600_d1-d4/90-93
3. Is it bondage, discipline and sadomasochism
4. Thank flip Bojo is getting into motorbikes.
5. fastbob do you have what you need at home?
6. You know that but where you are leaning over slightly to one side and then as you change direction you come through vertical to lean the other way, like coming off a roundabout. Don’t have to be fast to do it or enjoy it. Had a few like that today and made me smile
7. Two days of commuting later and having had to have a couple of weeks away from the bike I love it! Dry roads less traffic and all the pride that comes with having mended it! Stu i will drop some dosh in the forum coffers after payday as a little thanks for the forum. I bloomin love it!
8. I don’t have the bit. I have ordered a new one
9. More like that bloke from Dad’s army that did the black marketeering
10. Alas the bit that fixed to the camera that you pinch together, I snapped one of the bits you pinch when putting it in/out of the fixing on my helmet. Really annoyingly you cannot buy them separately at present.
11. I was only out for forty minutes. Bike worked well, I did not think to check the battery again, in part because it’s a faff. I shall risk it for work tomorrow Then I need to buy a charger. I am wondering if my regulator rectifier thy I took off is working and I wonder if my old battery is fine.
12. Having mended Callie today (did I mention that anywhere?) I shall be commuting every day again. No ride reports and the clip for my drift ghost thingy broke but I can take a picture on the drive and at work if you like?
13. I’m a maybe, Mrs in Brum has had something like medium strength flu for a week and I have been fighting cold symptoms for the last twenty four hours. I am ignoring it presently. No cough and no fever.
14. I have removed a stator and wired in new one I have mended the rear brake light switch which had been a do later job. It’s seems like such a little thing written down but seems like a really big deal to me. I need an extension bar and some penetrating spray so that I can loosen the rear axle nuts so I can tension my chain. I will look to replace the chain in May I think.
15. Can they work in the rain?
16. Thank you for your help Stu and gang. Particularly Stu who talked me through the whole thing. I feel really bloomin chuffed! I’m going to get her panels on and take her for a spin!
17. I’m getting 13.8 volts at the battery at 5k revs. Have I fixed it!!!????
18. Thanks both. In tool station, they don’t have solder so I am buying the crimping tool If this all works I will have enjoyed myself
19. Those are the pins in my hand. I have a crimping but on my posh wire strippers. Just off to buy solder to make the job good
20. Crimp, solder or both?
21. Thanks, it might come off with some oomph I’ll try. Back soon with more questions I am sure
22. Old stator has a plast thing that looks like it creates a seal between the generator cover and the housing at the back. New one does not. See pics. What do I do about this. There should be one I gues? Because otherwise why have a gasket?
