1. I have been to my allotment, ALDI, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Work which is now in Wolverhampton.
2. What excites you to look at? Then sit on them, if you still like it take it for a ride and if you like it then buy it. If after a while you stop turning back to look as you walk away or stop going to just look at it for the sake of it then sell it and get another. Also what’s your budget, how much of a newbie do you feel like you are? I am, only passed DAS in August last year and was on my 125 for about eighteen months before. Think I have covered about 16k miles only. I have a zzr600 from 1990 because I could afford it and it had low mileage. I absolutely love it. I still get up to look out if the office window at it, if I don’t ride for a few days I miss it and her. She can go really quite quickly if I want, there reports of someone fitting my description doing 140+ and interns of acceleration if I push it it accelerates more quickly than I feel able to manage. Down side is also an upside, as an older bike there is opportunity for Maintainance and problem solving which for me is a plus. Also because no a new bike the materials seem good.
3. I removed the lower faring watched the oil dripping, cinched up the generator cover bolts, noted the oil was no longer dripping. Took it off to the garage and washed her, brought her back and left her to see if she leaks oil. Didn’t so cleaned lower faring and put back together with new faring bolts I had bought. Out of curiosity; I mention a drop in performance. Could too much oil cause a drop in performance because since th leak it has come back.
4. And did so many years ago.
5. Apologies, wrong thread. My butler was distracted whilst posting for me.
6. Rotavator indeed
7. I adored Lisboa best capital I have visited.
8. I have successfully put a new (to me) engine on my rotavirus. Really chuffed, had some guidance from the bloke at the allotment that gave me the engine. Really chuffed.
9. Thank you all. Seems consensus is Seals and bleed nipple to buy, rest is about cleaning thank you for the tips
10. Thanks Rich, I have no idea how thorough I want to be really. I don’t know enough to decide. I want to take them apart and clean them, I want to change the pads if needed but beyond that not a clue. They work at the moment.
11. Hi gang I want to service my tokico brake callipers in a few weeks just to learn how really. What do I need, eBay has lots including bolts, not including bolts, with Bleed things and not ranging from just the seals for £8.50 to seal and bolts and stuff for£50. What do I need?
12. Hopefully fitting a new engine to my rotavator, taking the fairings off the bike and cleaning so I can work out where the oil leak is from, allotment stuff.
13. Last night was the levellers. We were going to have gone to a concert last night in Coventry so we decided to do a video call with our friends that would have come instead.
14. In addition, if they are insured with different providers, if you have a claim against one you have to tell the other who use it as an excuse to ramp up your premium This! My car insurance went up because that daft sod drove into my bike a while back. Their fault, not related to my car, has nothing to do with that policy and I have protected no claims.
15. Insurance companies are thieving hits in my view.
16. Is it the one with the rug?
17. Ah I think I know. I Wanted to wait and see though.
18. At this point I shall recommend a zzr600 based solely on loving mine.
19. Is that that Smith bloke from the Cure?
20. Feliz compleanos XTreme
21. Have you considered a much cheaper second hand bike just for the first year? Something just to get used to and enjoy big bikes? Like a cbr600r or zzr/zxr 600, triumph Daytona etc. For context with a garage my tpft insurance on my zzr600 is about £32 per month with one years no claims earned on a 125. Where you live makes a difference of course but I don not seem to live in a cheap insurance area.
22. S-Westerly that’s great to read!
