1. The connector? If you mean removed male from female yes. Looks okay. Does it matter which stator wire goes to which pin?
2. Found the connector! Strangely without my assistant saying ‘daddy daddy daddy’ on repeat in my ear I could concentrate.
3. We all live with the threat of Civid 19- sung to the tune of yellow submarine by the Beatles.

6. New York City coughs - Strokes
7. Mine came with the connectors but not affixed to the wires and a sleeve which I assume I shrink with heat onto the wires. Do I need to solder to fix the connectors do you think? Pics to follow later.
8. I’m learning loads, really appreciate your in put from last week.
9. Thanks all. Will post some photos a bit later, also a cog came off when I pulled the cover off.
10. I’ll have a look when the kids are in bed.
11. After epic effort, for someone with the practical skills of a sea anemone, I removed the stator cover, the stator and then got to realise that the wires from the stair are a part of the loom. Then the fact that I have children and an unwell wife got in the way of progressing. Do I need to trace the cables, find where they unplug and replace or is there another option? This seems to be turning into a bigger job than I thought.
12. Changing the stator on the bike with my kids Probably a bit of allotmenting and some tidying the house.
13. Thanks, I only changed it two or three weeks ago
14. Thanks Stu. Another day in my motorbike mending journey tomorrow. Think I will buy the kits to service my tokico brakes soon
15. There is no description that the oil needs letting out in the manual I am confused.
16. It’s on the left hand side.
17. I plan to change the Stator on my Zzr600 tomorrow with the mini mechanics. Does anyone know do I need to drain the oil? It does not seem to say so in the Haynes’ manual but it doesn’t say much really and YouTube clips of other bikes have the oil being replaced. Thank you
18. Currently the nhs are not testing people based only on symptom. It’s symptoms plus contact with high risk location or an infected person. Thy and on admission to acute hospital with respiratory distress. There is not the resource to test everyone currently. fastbob be kind to yourself. Let me know if you need anything, I’m not that far away.
19. My wife had a vicious cold three weeks ago and I think now he flu. No profound respiratory stuff so assuming she does not have corona.
20. Glasses and flip front helmet for me
21. Changed the air filter, changed the rectifier/regulator, changed the battery and discovered thanks to much help from the forum team that it was the stator that was broken. Had some help too.
22. Glad you are safe, not surprised you were shaken, scary stuff. Audi driver a wally obviously.
23. Thank you everyone. Meter definitely works, I’m happy with your advice/knowledge Stu and the video that dynax posted describes exactly what you did. I have ordered a new stator and alternator gasket from Wemoto, I have also ordered some brake pads but will leave those until i have the bike working again. Thanks lots, I year ago I did not know how to do an oil change
