  1. Good luck Just have fun on it, its pretty cool ride
  2. Well done I had a problem with u-turn and figure of 8 but not because of clutch but just slow riding in general. Failed my MOD1 twice when I put my foot down on slalom But thanks to proper training on DAS I passed it first time
  3. You may be lucky enough to have your bike on their list or lucky to get examiner who didn't bother to check your bike with list
  4. Well, it is still possible to use it. I went on my chinese 125 for MOD1 and examiner told me if I can produce a dyno printout proving it can reach 60mph they will accept it but I don't expect it would be easy lol
  5. What bike you got? If its chinese then you are stuffed but if its any major make then you should be fine. You could try and find on DSA website list of bikes approved for A1 tests Edit: on MOD2 examiner may take you to NSL road so you would be required to do 60mph but if you can do 55 you should be fine
  6. If you have to hold it to make it work then I would start with checking the switchgear itself as most likely something may be slightly loose or not connecting properly. That would be my guess It won't be so easy now when WF is not around anymore...
  7. Friday is tomorrow

    NEC bike show

I guess it is slightly too cold for camping, even for me lol. Especially as I don't really have any equipment So, any people coming from north/east on Saturday morning want to meet up? Anywhere around Yorkshire...
  9. Forgot to add I did my tests in Rotherham and thats like 10-15min ride from school Have a look here: http://www.maceysmotorcycletraining.co.uk/ They are based at Premier Bikes, Askern, Doncaster DN6 0EP
  10. You will have full licence only you'll be restricted to 33bhp. On light licence you're restricted to 125cc like after CBT so it is totally pointless. Light licence you get when you do your test on a 125 bike which isn't on DSA "approved bikes" list. I can recommend you school in Doncaster where I did my DAS if it isn't too far for you. They also offer a free 1hr assessment ride
  11. You know, if you put your location in your profile it could actually help someone to for example recommend you good and not too expensive school £700 sounds a bit excessive to me especially as you have some 125 riding experience. I paid £380 for my DAS - including MOD1 and MOD2 tests fees I have been riding on 125 since February so exactly 6 months. And about books / DVDs, I can't help you there but I haven't heard about something focusing on actual tests. All I've seen are about advanced techniques or something

    Spray paint coverage?

I got paint from ebay for £4.99 per 500ml can. It would be cheaper if you buy more at once. I used 2 cans to paint CBR125 (copy) but to get good finish I would probably need 1 more. So for much bigger bike I would guess you may need 4-6 cans maybe even more. But I may be wrong, I don't have much experience on it

    NEC bike show

Me and my gf on 1st weekend (Saturday most likely)
  14. I know, I got quoted £25 for loose wheels but I don't have bike stands and even if I would be able to remove the wheels somehow I can't really take them to shop (taxi maybe...) so not much choice for me
  15. Thanks for all your advice guys. I have bought Maxxis Supermaxx Touring for £120 delivered Now I need £50 and some time to get them fitted lol They were delivered yesterday:
  16. Looking at his sig he did Well done
  17. +1 It seems strange that you have to sort test booking for your school School I did my DAS with (well, just 1 instructor full time) sorted all for me. He rang DSA and told me what's available...
  18. Universal fit pinlock is about £20 I need to get one for myself...
  19. Noticed yesterday my tax disc was gone. Not sure if I just lost it or someone nicked it I need to go to DVLA now to get replacement F**K IT!!
  20. http://images.esellerpro.com/2189/I/169/32/lrgscaleDuchinni-D409-Motorcycle-Helmet-Red-1.jpg If you have a good eye see this picture I have a D801 model which I believe is different type visor removal
  21. Bad luck Sean. Yeah, nerves are real PITA Better luck next time Nope, you go with your instructor to the test centre and you are examined by official DSA examiner. But don't be afraid, a vast majority of them are really great guys that treat you like a fellow biker and not like another number in their book
