  1. I mean the actual engine oil, not the one that mixes with petrol
  2. When did you last do oil change? You could try some fresh one...
  3. I would guess its due to non running for some time, low temps made oil go thicker and it takes a while to get all parts lubricated correctly again... If it will be like that after you run it for a bit then you may have a problem but now just start it and warm it up properly / go for a ride
  4. My manager at work suddenly left job and they gave this position to dumb, young girl, who have no idea about anything but trying really hard to prove herself unfortunately at our cost... Annoying and full of herself b**ch F**K IT!!!!
  5. 250? When you pass you can ride any cc but you need to restrict power to 33bhp for 2 years... Out of "sporty" 125s the best one would be Honda CBR125 as it have most upright riding position. Ones like YZF-R125, Derbi GPR125 are also not too bad but you would notice the difference in slalom and u-turn. If you want to get 125 only to do your tests then get the cheapest thing you can find (but not chinese) Suzuki EN125, Honda CG125, Yamaha YBR125 or even better - hire it from school and save money for bigger bike

  7. Ebay mate, Item number: 200416536464 I have bought them and fitted them to my gf's r125 and they are ok. They are genuine Yamaha ones and I have seen cheaper (slightly) ones but they just didn't look right. I can recomment those above

So, anyone went today? How was it? I will be going on the next Saturday as I will have to fit Hot Grips first lol. Just bought one set for me and one for my gf...
  9. Its an extra bit attached to inner part of your visor. Looks kinda like another but smaller visor You sure it is not only "pinlock ready"? What helmet did you get? My gf bought Shoei and they fitted pinlock in store for her

Oh come on, thats just too easy... Ladies day or biker fun
  11. Why do you care what someone will think? I would gladly wear my boots at work as they are really comfy but I need to wear safety shoes. And if you wear them all day chicks will notice you're biker and they like us (at least it was in poll on AnnSummers fb page ) and you're not another dumb chav in pimped up Corsa...
  12. Do you like your 014's? I had them replaced this weekend with Maxxis Touring and I'm really happy I did it. i really hated them... Sorry, don't know anything about Diablos
  13. I have tried to do my MOD1 without training and I failed 3 times (well 1st time I did stupid mistake and 2nd and 3rd time I failed due to doing it on my gf's bike which I had no training on whatsoever) Then I signed for DAS and passed it first time. It cost me £380 for 2 days + 4 hours training (including test fees). I would say it really is worth it, even at least 2 hours just to find out what are you doing wrong and what you need to work on.

    Cooling System

Isn't there a thermostat? If it is then the temperature should be high to open it and make water circulate... At least thats how it is on cars, not sure if its the same on bikes...

    Petrol tap

No, its definitely in Fuel position. It may be as eastanglianbiker said, the tap may need rebuilding. I have seen rebuild sets on ebay for £13 so I will get one when I can be bothered lol. Today I have replaced my tyres and GOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! lol
  16. My telephone exchange is down all day today and I have not got internet since I woke up today. Petrol tap

Anyone have idea why my petrol tap doesn't work on reserve? Some time ago I've managed to run out of petrol as I wanted to check tank range It turned out bike used all petrol, including reserve and switching tap didn't do anything... How is that possible and what may be wrong? Not that it is a problem, I just have to watch my mileage lol but in case I ever miss it it would be nice to know I still have reserve
  18. I would say a standard 2 piece textiles would be your best choice. You can wear either jacket or trousers or both together so it would be more practical. Most come with armour and are weather proof
  19. Good luck Remember that examiners are also bikers and they just want to see you can ride safely and they not expecting you to be perfect. Just enjoy the ride
  20. Wait at test centre and follow someone on their test
