  1. Me also but I can`t help being fascinated by those ceiling speakers ! Cheers Ian
  2. For what it`s worth V-Rods are a very marmite thing and for whatever reason most Harley owners/aficionados don`t seem to like them. For whatever reason you don`t see many about. At that age you are basically buying on condition and your instinct. Good luck. Cheers Ian
  3. @Tiggie is right (Woo Hoow). There is the risk of damage. However when your ears stop bleeding and the tinnitus starts to become bearable you will still be apologising to your neighbours. Don`t run an engine without at least header pipes. Cheers Ian
  4. Hi I am sure you can check the details required with one of the regular importers on ebay like DK who bring in a lot of bikes from the states etc for the restoration guys. Don`t be surprised if the info requires a donation lol. I believe the cert of conformity info might be covered by the letter of authenticity then an MOT based on frame number following which number plate can be issued but please check with the experts last time I imported a bike it was from the Channel isles and Cosmo Classic bikes of Hastings helped me with the paperwork and it was a long time ago. Good luck. Cheers Ian
  5. Not a chance ! PMSL Cheers Ian
  6. An accolade much sought after by the majority on here. Sadly misunderstood by various buffoons who took themselves too seriously. Also very difficult to win whilst @Tiggie is still active. Cheers Ian
  7. How about KOTY after all we put ourselves up for Knob of the day. If someone has suffered a sense of humour bypass in the meantime I suspect they are beyond help. Cheers Ian
  8. Until someone finds a number bigger !!!!!!!!! Cheers Ian
  9. Would that be from slapping yourself on the back for finding a ridiculously high numbered pub ? By the way are you chilly willying tomorrow? Cheers Ian
  10. @Mawsley has lain down an excellent gauntlet ! May I ask @Hoggs what happens if it can be beaten? Cheers Ian
  11. Good luck. Your list appears fine to me. Please be aware when I went through the same process with the Harley that @fastbob now owns they wouldn`t play ball and despite shedloads of evidence they were as intransigent as only simple serpents can be. Good luck. Cheers Ian
  12. Hi Phil Not major especially if you have a way of supporting the front while you do it. There are a few different ways of doing it so I would suggest a bit of man time in front of Youtube with a beer and a notebook and find the method of working that suits you best. The most important part is deciding on the method you use for measuring the height/ amount of fluid in the forks once you have changed it. Cheers Ian
  13. I haven`t seen any mention of front fork oil yet so for what it`s worth I would add that to your oil, coolant and filter basic service list as I am fairly confident you will be unpleasantly surprised at the state of that when you get it out. I also wouldn`t bother hanging on to the old fuel till after the MOT do it now and don`t risk the embarssment of something clogging up at the worst moment. Oh and welcome to the madhouse (We love pics by the way). Cheers Ian
  14. what did I do to my bike today? Nothing. Hardly gave it a thought lol. Although a bike out here in the Caribbean would be quite fun. Back after Xmas and hopefully we will have a couple of nice days. Cheers Ian
  15. While it's covered in dust I thought that this would be a good illustration of a double bubble screen. in this case a "Zero Gravity" item on a Busa but I hope it helps. Cheers Ian
  16. By way of a test ride I suppose. First time I have ridden the Harley Dyna. Since delivery it has had the stage one hardware installed and as it was a nice morning we headed over to the 2 flags café for brekky. Happy to report she is sweet to ride and breakfast was good lol. Cheers Ian
  17. I have in the past made a puller/pusher with a threaded bar and a socket slightly smaller than the o/d of the bush one end and a slightly larger socket the other both held with a large washer and a nut and then once in a vice start winding one of the nuts whilst heating the arm. Take your time and you`ll be suprised how well it works. Cheers Ian
  18. I wonder if she thought that a bunch of bikers would be some kind of testosterone charged mass rather than the reality of a bunch of cynical old guys in their 50`s or more who have been there seen it etc! Lol. I tend to think "Nice try sweetheart but not a chance" Cheers Ian
  19. Likewise. Young ladies offering me their Whatsapp details ring a lot of alarm bells lol. Also ignored. Cheers Ian
  20. First thing to ask is what is the fuel you are using like ? It may be worth changing it for fresh and if you are storing the bike over winter might be worth draining completely (including carbs) to prevent the seperating and formation of water at the lower points. If fuel fresh and ok then start to look at battery health then all the usual things that affect sparks on older Hondas. Cheers Ian
  21. Clearly taken from your personal photo collection of willing friends who share your hobbies. Cheers Ian
  22. Nice of you to express a preference lol. Cheers Ian
  23. If it`s not insured he won`t get much if some scrote nicks it. Where would you like it left? Cheers Ian
