Thanks guys. Voltage at each battery measured and showed 12.6volts on each which I took to be encouraging as they were partially discharged following small use. Charger output difficult to measure as the terminal connector thingys are awkward to get a reliable contact with but I did see 20+ volts a few times. I have left them set up charging and will check after 24 hours but my suspicion is either charger issues or simply a loose connection between battery pack and the loom on the barrow. Fingers crossed. Cheers Ian

Hi Simon I was hoping to avoid separating them as they are a nightmare to get back in their protective jacket and reinstall. If I can establish all is well or what I need to replace I want to be able to go back to charging in-situ. Last time I used it after about 500 yards it felt as if it was flagging (This is less than a tenth of what it has done before fully loaded). Strangely when I went back to it today 72 hours later it did the return journey as if no problem whatsoever so I just want to check before it leaves me stranded lol. Cheers Ian

Hi Guys I know this isn`t strictly bike related but I am hoping for a little guidance. The pics show the charger and batteries for a 24volt barrow, I believe there is a problem with one or both and want to check. So question 1 I know the ting stood for about 2 years but that was unmolested in a dry garage with no loading so is there a way of checking the health of the two 12volt batteries that look to be connected in series? Question 2 the charger has been slightly damaged on it`s casing but appears to charge so is there a way I can check it`s output so I can at least eliminate that and save a bit of cost? Cheers Ian

Once way back n time some scrote tried to nick my Z650 in Carlisle so I went and asked the cop shop if I could park at there front and much to my surprise they agreed. Worth a try I would have thought. Cheers Ian

I remember the paddock area at Elvington on top speed event there were a lot of Hayabusas showing BU54 with various endings, the best was BU54 BHP in my opinion. Cheers Ian

Please make sure the family are made aware every time the bike is the only transport available as if they continue to monopolise the family`s cars they should contribute to the upkeep of the ornament ! Cheers Ian -
Hi @Adil glad to see the pic shows damage not terrible. I have some standard parts which may be for sale for a Gen1 such as std Exhaust silencers and headers (possibly the link pipes too) a set of std mirrors and a pair of wheels. I think there is also a standard swingarm and some clutch parts somewhere in the workshop as well. I am in the midlands should you want a chat? Cheers Ian

Just a quick thought, whilst working on this particular bike under no circumstances attempt to turn it over on the starter motor unless you are confident the battery is holding a significant charge. There have been incidents of damage occuring when people have carried on turning Busa`s over and letting the battery charge fall. Cheers Ian

Have to say I have seen a lot worse and with some elbow grease and patience I can see a project emerging from that. Good Luck and remember we respond best to people who keep in touch with lots of pics! Cheers Ian -
I was recommended Gem`s by someone on here (who used to reside in Rennie`s wardrobe I believe). Gems cover the person rather than the vehicle and so far I haven`t used them in anger but the nationwide coverage and the fact that it doesn`t matter what vehicle I am in/on is reassuring. Cheers Ian
