  1. you know I think I got it.. i found the bits. il add photos. But remember the chuck style stud remover that exploded when trying to use it... well il bet its that/.
  2. Interesting thought indeed
  3. I only have the 1 photo of it, my dad took it i think. the other bit is a piece of the piston top that stuck into the head
  4. this is the metal bit that was stuck.
  5. yeah it was stuck to the head, it was looked shiny and was steel. so a very odd find. checked all cam teeth etc and even crank teeth although they would never get up there. Something must have fallen through the valves, but id have thought they would look damaged. Very confusing. I have a guy lined up with parts, although the damaged metal doesnt really do anything. Would a little bit of missing piston matter lol
  6. yeah valve tool coming tomorrow. If the metal came through valves it could be part of a valve or damaged on passing.
  7. So, bit of an update Found the noise issue, no idea how a piece of metal got in the piston chamber, but it did. Its steel. The piston barrel is actually ok, just a mark at the top where the piston stops. Looking at bits to replace etc now. Engine did run nice apart from the noise from this. Will see what happens next.
  8. 3 branches so far so more staff than that lol. I was told there was one in Leeds, although the website says not
  9. Not sure mate
  10. Going by the reviews, Urban is better than 5guys but cheaper. About 4 or 5 quid a burger.. Ive not tried 5 guys due to price
  11. Yes thats them.
  12. Is that a chain or a one off?
  13. Well, I was introduced to Urban Burger today. And it was awesome. I do love a good burger though. If you have one near you its worth a try.. You will thank me later.. Have a good sunday.
  14. yeah, got that last week. reading through it over and over. it goes between fzr and fzs so a little annoying but its good to read the procedure.
  15. I dont want to do it with engine in the bike so taking it out. And in the process finding how messy this bike is, so may work out a good thing.. I think some diesel may just be a good idea..
  16. Jizer lol.. thats some special stuff
  17. Started to strip the fazer. Couldnt get the cover of when last did the chain but had to find a way today. Anyway, what a bloody mess. never been cleaned by the looks of it and the clutch ball housing thing looks rusty but turns, but I cant adjust the screw its frozen. new price is crazy. See how tomorrow goes.
  18. I didnt test ride mine but checked it over for the usual. But buying and having it delivered would worry me unless its from a dealer who would have to take the bike back if the clutch was knackered etc. Ive always test drove cars and ones ive liked I hated once drove. I think with bikes you need to at least sit on it, hear it, look it over. I took my mrs to view a couple of bikes, one looked nice but sounded shit when we saw it.
  19. the more people on our side the better
  20. I didnt test drive mine either, and most dont offer it. biketrader seems to sell at good prices, but it is scary giving out adress etc if the bike isn't safe or offer viewings at a local friends/family.
  21. Its an amazing feeling. The examiner took his time to tell me, taking the mic off me saying "you'll not need this anymore" I didn't realise what he meant lol until my instructor said "you didn't hear him did you". It was a school run test time in the morning, in the rain..
  22. Many excited people on facebook for this news and rightly so. Some only have a cbt and need the bike for work.
  23. yeah. There isnt an issue with it apart from needing to take off some daft aftermarket exhaust to do it
  24. I was thinking checking the valves was a good move. But i keep going back to the drilled stud and looking at it from the side, im starting to think Ive drilled close to or into the head stud running down behind the stud. The stud depth there isnt deep at all. I think Il also measure how deep I went. Exhaust off of course. If i have then il just go get an engine. There is one 3hr drive away.. (i deserve it i know) @fastbob if i undo at the front i think I could. @Mickly just dirt I think but will look tomorrow. @Bianco2564 its not about the oil filter, they are mentioning that as I only wanted to get to it and had issues getting the exhaust off and drilled a stud too far, which is likely the cause of my issues.
  25. yeah i think its a case of getting head off and seeing how it all looks, cam chain etc. cheers just looking at the manual to get the carbs off, throttle cable looks a bitch to get to
