Oddly just seen a video test of bolts in salt water and the acf50 didnt rust at all, wd40 did by 80% or more.

It seems the muc off protector does nothing. I tried it on a bolt that ive recently took rust off. I first wiped the bolt with 3 in 1 spray oil, it rusted, then tried the muc off and its rusted. So does acf50 actually work at stopping rust? or are bikes that are kept out side although covered going to rust anyway. Find it hard to see how acf50 will be different to muc off. Both purple as it happens too.. @MikeHorton What power is the pet dryer? I was looking at a leaf blower but the sales guy said it wasnt powerful enough.. cheers

If you got one winter and managed some comfy rides as a result its money well spent. Just looking at repairing heated grip which has stopped working and realise I may only use once in blue moon, but that once could turn a crap day decent.

Im trying to replace the right hand oxford grip as mine is faulty, tested with meter. I see there are a mix of oxford grips so how do you get the same or doesnt it matter? Can you buy used? cheers

I did a little hack with my snood as the top of my chest was getting a chill. I slit the sides so a flap goes under my top and further down my neck. I know you veterans will know this hack already but I thought id post.. I couldnt find a produc that did this cheap.

shes riding too so needs something that works well either with her gloves or new.. she was just saying her gloves are tight ish though so based on an above comment she may need new.. but go to big and controls feel clumsy lol

I didn't know there was such a thing. But also wouldn't it make the winter gloves tight?

As a side question and to save doing a new post, what do you guys think to either heated gloves or silk inserts? My mrs gets really cold finger tips and I was looking at how to solve the issue... no funny comments lol

id soon get rid of them. Motorcycles are a form of transport. I'm not sure why so many class them as a toy. You are allowed to travel to exercise and for many reasons other than work. But its likely your personal cover is being strict and classing the bike as a danger sport. So id get a different policy. if we all put up with this controlling crap we are screwed. People with cars don't get these letters.

I lubed the clutch (Friday) and went for a chilly ride for about 40 mins. not much for me at all. No photos as its not the most interesting lol. But the clutch cable is so much easier and it was ok anyway lol

I installed Grammarly on my imac as I often had issues with grammar on my business page. But on another forum that was really full of odd miserable people as soon as you bit at their comments, grammar was their only tool for come backs. Then I noticed on lots of other posts they would correct grammar all the time. To the point it was more like an English forum then a bike one. So, although at times offering some help seems a good idea, I think it can be patronising. There will be people who struggle with it and may limit posts in fear of being picked on. And no, I don't think they would feel they're being helped by correcting them. Just my opinion of course.
