  1. I'm waiting for my theory to get more than the mighty 14.7bhp I currently have, but as I don't have storage for multiple bikes and it's mostly for commuting I'm not sure I'll be going super high on the power stakes. Fish
  2. Sorry to hear that, but the main bit is you're still breathing. Mine had its first service, so now able to get all 70mph out of the poor little 125. Fish
  3. First service on the MT tomorrow then off to a friends for a nice meal. Sunday if the weather plays ball will be clay shooting. Fish

The chairs are always supplied by the customers I get based at and most of the time they are excellent. Ihopefully going to drop by an osteopath tomorrow and see how long the wait is. Fish

Thanks for all the replies and debates. I'm a computer engineer/office worker. I have had issues with my lower back in the past, but not for a long while now. I will pop by a physio tomorrow to see if they are open and how soon they can see me. Getting any sort of referral from my GP is a joke. I understand how busy the NHS are and how much of a great job they do, but the physio I've had in the past was not really fit for purpose and I ended up finding my own physio to help repair turn knee ligaments. I'll give the grip puppies a look, but I'm not aiming to keep this bike for that long.... Hopefully Fish
  6. Left school in 87 and couldn't wait to leave. Back then we didn't have ADHD, ADD and any of the other symptoms, I was just a trouble maker. Told I would never amount to anything. Within 6 weeks I had a job working with computers (not bad for a dunce), for my 18th birthday I took my family out to a posh restaurant and the careers teacher walked in. He was known to my family and was asking where I was working, what I was doing all the usual stuff, so I explained why we was there and where I was working, what I was doing and he didn't believe me, so gave him my business card and told him to phone me about arranging a visit. He did, then a week later came up with a couple of kids as agreed and I had pleasure of showing them around and what I was doing. When we was finishing off, I looked squarely at him and said not bad for someone who wouldn't amount to much! Then looked at the kids and told them to never listed when someone tells you that you cannot do something or that you wouldn't amount to anything useful. I am still working with computers and worked one some big projects running my own teams. Fish

Hi guys n girls, pretty much every time I get off the bike and go about normal non-riding stuff my back starts tightening up. From the middle to top and across the shoulders. I initilly thought it was because I was tense and not riding relxed, but I'm not feeling any stress when riding, even though I'm still pretty new at this game. I'm fairly upright on the bike (MT-125), so not a sportster. Any idea's? Fish
  8. outside giving the bike a much needed wash and my dumb freeloading scum of a neighbour asks who's bike is that.... Apparently I'm not allowed to have a bike as well as a car!
  9. Here's what I ended up with. Mostly paid with money for my birthday. Big enough to fit a change of clothes, water proofs and locks. It should fit a helmet when expanded. Fish
  10. If you have built up some no claims bonus' letting the insurance expire up to two yers and it's still vlaid. After those 2 years you will lose it, not before so just keep the paperwork. Fish
  11. Give LV a shout, that's who I'm with. Fish
  12. Not when it's got 15 stone of fat bastid on it...
  13. well if the weather plays ball the bike will be getting it's first clean, and if it holds out I'll be ceramic coating the wheels to make them easier to clean the dust from. Fish
  14. That sounds like a nce litle ride out, not sure I could manage it on the mighty 125 Fish
  15. Had my first rush hour commute to work. Thankfully the traffic still isn't what it used to be, but made it there and back in one piece. Feeling accomplished. Fish
  16. Thanks guys, I'm gutted I didnt see this a bit earlier Gym, I've just placed an order for a Nelson Rigg (birthday present). Fish
  17. I'm looking for a tail bg that can go on the back of my MT-125, it will be holding chain/d-locks, waterproof's, etc. What's the recommendations? I'd prefer something that can be easily detached due to working up in central London. Thanks Fish
  18. just got back in from a trial ride into work. Checking for potholes that I'd not normally give a care about in the car. Not as scary as I thought, more time on the bike, also including wet weather riding. Yeah ok it's not rush hour traffic, but still something I'm not used to. Fish
  19. Much the same responce as geofferz, I'm 6' and had a few days sitting on different bikes. I found the best for height was the Duke 125 closely follwoed by the MT-125 (which I bought). The CB125R was pretty close behind, but just felt that bit smaller. I didn't try anything trails/supermoto related so might be worth a look. Fish
  20. Pearson have been testing centres for IT exams for years, and they are nothing but a PITA! I've got my theory booked, but it's not until the end of August. Fish

    Hey

Picked up my first bike today, nice little MT-125, big bike feel just missing the power. Fish

    Hey

thanks for the warm welcome all, I'm looking at either a CB125R or an MT-125. I would have liked a Duke 125 but the insuranvce quote was over £500 more Fish

    Hey

Thought I should say 'Hey' after a couple of posts. Just passed my CBT (2 hours ago), now time to go shopping for a bike. Please be gentle. Fish
  24. What the difference a nice instructor can make. Just finished and passed with one warning. The instructor at the end said that give it a month and he'd be happy to do a DAS, shame they aren't open. I'd still be tempted to have a bit more experience before doing that though. (One happy) Fish
  25. Thanks people, I don't have a push bike so cant try the counter steering, but I do remember how to ride. I am using the same company, but different instructor so hopefully things will go better this time around. Fish
